There's not much indication. Basically they're saying they want to award the best work in terms of quality and try to take as little popularity into consideration as possible.

It would have been beneficial for Perfect Illusion, because PI was a September release and had no time like Million Reasons to be campaigned for and promoted. They say they don't want late-year releases to be put at a disadvantage but that didn't serve PI. :rip:

I think that's a reason why Gaga focused so much on Million Reasons and neglected Perfect Illusion because PI will not be eligible for next year's Grammys.

That's great. It's not fair that "artists" who didn't write a word or create a melody on their whole album will get a Grammy while the people who did the work will remain unnoticed.

It was about damn time.Since the past few years,Grammys have been all about rewarding the popular albums/songs,i'm glad they're making an actual effort to change that.

About Joanne,it definitely deserves at least one Grammy win for MR.Joanne wasn't big on the charts but it's got a pretty good chance at the Grammys next year. There haven't been any good female releases this year except Lorde. She is the only one I can see snatching up a Grammy nod or two.

Absolutely. Joanne is probably the best female album eligible for next year's Grammy.

Thats why she was actually did not win AOTY past times. Her albums writed by 20-30 peoples and maybe 2-3% by her, so I think it's fair that she doesnt deserve for that reason
