It is apparent that Katy loves Gaga but is such love unrequited because Gaga is #TeamTaylor? Like the time Gaga told Howard Stern that she liked Taylor because she stanned for ARTPOP during a time when the media and stans pitted the album against Katy's more commercially album, Prism ... Or when Gaga exchanged tweets with Taylor about finding her Prince Charming and ultimately posts a tweet that shades Katy ...? Or even that time Taylor was invited and went to Gaga's birthday party ... Gaga seems to love Taylor, but the only thing Katy gets from Gaga is shade. So what do you think? Gaga is very good at remaining neutral in these kinds of things, and she also doesn't seem to like having famous friends. I think Gaga isn't on Katy's or Taylor's side, and she doesn't make public appearances with either of them because she doesn't want the media to make a mess of it, or either of the girls to think she's taking sides and then seek revenge. She seems to like spending time with both of them at award shows and when their paths cross. Let me pitch a hypothetical situation for you right now: Katy invites Gaga to hang out, Gaga attends. Taylor sees this and thinks Gaga has taken a side. Taylor starts making backhanded comments about Gaga. The media creates a war between them that doesn't exist outside a few backhanded comments. Fan wars start on Twitter and other social media. Negativity breaks out and the GP thinks Gaga has taken a side on the Katy/Taylor situation and starts having their own opinions. I agree That "what the fuck do I have to do with Katy Perry" she blurted during that 2014 interview was fueled with so much resentment that she'd be put on the same level as her.
