For those on the fence, who do not like Comey, I think that they may be swayed in his favor a bit. Hopefully this will alter public opinion. Or at least some peoples opinions. I guess I was too hyped and thought that Comey would present something so that we could roast and grill Trump and he would have nothing to cover it up As for the altering the public opinion ... This whole story is extremely controversial. Even if Trump is as big an idiot as the media and his own twitter is trying to portay him, he did grow up in the USA, in the family that, if I am right to understand, was a part of the American big business culture, and he of all people on Earh couldn't but know that if he had paired his powers with Russian intelligence in such a vocal way, he would have easily become the subject of the treason accusation that would have granted him a serious jail time. There is little doubt that Russian hackers attacked the DNC servers and leaked the emails of the top party officials. We also can't deny that the Democratic candidate was bound to suffer rating damage because basically all the dirty political laundry of the party he is representing in the election got exposed for all the voters to see. To what extent it contributed to the loss of Clinton - I don't think we can get a specific answer on that question, because there were many other factors that contributed to the outcome, the DNC server hacking was just one of them. So Russia tried to mess with the US election, but she was probably acting out of her own intentions. Clinton made it very clear during her campaign that she would take a strict policy on Kremlin's actions, and they tried to help the other candidate get elected, probably without informing that candidate. Trump used the hacking and the emails that have been leaked to his political benefits - I think that any Republican candidate in his place would have gladly acted the same. But to think that he ordered Russians to hack DNC? It is something far too reaching, in my opinion. I mean, he knows of Watergate and Nixon, doesn't he? And we tend to forget, that no matter who exposed those emails to the public, it was not the expose that harmed the party, it was the content of the emails. It was not very born this way of the democratic party top officials - Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Amy Dacey, Brad Marshall, and Luis Miranda to write what they had written As for the sanctions lifts - that doesn't surprise me at all. All the governments of the world and all the biggest corporations in the world are known for lobbying their interests in the US House of Representatives and in the US Senate. It's a fact. Lobbying in the USA is a legal business. That's why I think it may not be so easy to catch Trump on something if we continue to hear "I believe" and "I don't doubt that". If we got some tapes with Flynn discussion something with the Russians, then it would be a solid evidence.

Bad in the sense he is being called a liar and is shown to have obstruction-like behavior but really this is just shedding light on the truth. The result of this testimony will be known if the committee belives obstruction of justice did occur. Comey basically exposed Sessions though. He said he hopes there are tapes. He just said release the tapes. Either Trump lied about the tapes or they are damning and they destroyed potential evidence.
