They asked that the fan removes the account and website that they were selling unauthorised Beyonce merchandise from, thus profiting from Beyonce's name and image which is illegal. It wouldn't have been a problem if the name Beyonce Capital wasn't used to make money. See: every other stan account ever. I think they just wanted it all wiped out and removed because the fan was using Beyonce's name and image for illegal purposes, which is totally fair. I'm sure they know this 15 year old is unaware they were infringing on any legal ground based on their letter, and I'm sure it's scary to receive such a letter as a 15 year old. But labeling this as Beyoncé threatening to sue a 15 year old is such a misrepresentation. This is a cease and desist, a very kind one at that. The kid was likely unknowingly in the wrong and simply has to comply. You can't steal trademarked work and resell it for personal profit. Any other artist would likely have to do the same thing.
