ANVEEROY 61,266
What's your honest opinion about this show? Metascore: 81/100 (Universal Acclaim) Watched by 1.2M 5 Emmy Nominations Won 1 New York Post: "a concert that would make Madonna’s shows look like run-of-the-mill dinner theater." Boston Herald: Jed Gottlieb wrote "Between the orgy of visuals—stripper strobes, androgynous dancers and a very loose, X-rated 'Wizard of Oz' theme—we get some great song and dance numbers: 'Poker Face', 'Paparazzi' and 'Bad Romance'. These are amazing hits, club-thumping tracks that define joy and sadness for a generation of suburban teens and the urban disenfranchised." However, he felt that the show's non-concert content was not genuine, and found the special to be similar to Madonna's 1991 documentary Madonna: Truth or Dare. " Stream Kylie-Janet Discographies! retroglamx 5,177
Honestly, this show to me MEANS THE WORLD. It is Lady Gaga at her prime. Visuals, looks, vocals, outfits, stamina, message, everything about this show is so perfectly polished. When I encounter non Gaga believers, I recommend them to watch this show and if I like them enough I'll lend my DVD copy to them. It really showcases her ability as an entertainer and she's just TOO DAMN SEXY throughout the whole show. I have to say, I'm still bummed we didn't get BTW Ball DVD casue I think that show was a little more epic at times but I guess we'll always have The Monster Ball at Madison Square Garden to rejoice. Pink flamingos always fascinated me.
My Enigma Heart 1,915
I love the fact that we actually got a full footage of the concert. Not like some of the others where they only show bits and pieces of the performances.

Because at the time of the monster ball Gaga was the only pop girl that served elaborate performance since Madonna, so comparisons were drawn.
