During TF era, I could not STAND her. These looks were basically what scared me off

BUT during TFM monster, I found out she was bi (which was around the time I was figuring out my sexuality too), OZZY OSBOURNE LIKED HER (super obsessed with him at the time), and she was super into classic rock and metal :rockstar:

Then, suddenly seeing pics like this

in Rolling Stone. I was drawn to the horror, dark visuals, and theatrics

I knew she was bi from her interviews during the poker face era, I remember her being alot of things but I never knew shed go dark and mysterious for TFM. And I consider the TFM as my turning point from being a causal listerner to an avid fan

PHilton made a post about her song Poker Face which had just came out and he said that it was nice to see a new artist that had a Madonna vibe so I listened to it and Just Dance, a couple of weeks later the music video for Poker Face came out and it was hypnotizing, it was so good. Then I waited for the release of The Fame and when I listened to Lovegame I knew that this girl was something.

I just started following her on MySpace I think or Twitter and fell in love with an acoustic version of Poker Face that she played on her piano.

I legitimately never thought about Gaga at all (even during the height of her popularity). However, I had been a fan of Tony Bennett for a couple years before I heard Cheek to Cheek. I was completely floored at how great her voice was especially on songs like Nature Boy and Lush Life - among two of the hardest songs for Jazz singers to sing. I heard Joanne last year and appreciated the sound she was going for. I then finished listening to the remaining portions of her discography and really appreciated how talented she is. Now, I am a fan. :staymad:

Wow I never thought one could actually escape gaga during the peak of her popularity, shes basically went supernova back in the day. She was literally everywhere!! :firega:

This comment just brought back to memories when Mtv created a mix of her interviews and mashed all them up into a song which I recall is about her weird fashion. Care to refresh my memory? :duck:

I started to stan her like two months before applause. I don't know why I did it,Iguess that's because all my childhood music was Poker face and Bad Romance. Then she cameup with itunes festival and I was shook.

Saw this performance and first thought "wow I've never seen anyone rock latex pants or an outfit like that without looking tacky before" then she introduced me to one of the greatest pop songs of all time

Even in her tacky years she managed to sky rocket and slay everything slay-able. I miss those days! :excuseu:

I knew she existed. I just never spent the time listening to her music. I wrongly assumed she was just some other pop star that didn't warrant my attention. I really wish I could have been paying attention to her during 2008-2012. What was it like being a fan during that portion of her career? Was her fanbase more positive due to her astronomical success? During my brief tenure as a fan, I have seen  some instances of needless negativity showcased towards Gaga herself, and I really don't understand why her own fanbase thinks such comments can be beneficial for her...

I was a casual listener, I wasnt a core fan yet in 2009-2010. But I can tell you those were the best years to follow her as she was constantly releasing bops single after single. She was serving looks, epic performances and quality music. It was so fun to see her contemporaries trying to keep up with her in terms of fasion, music and live presence. She had all these other pop girls a run for their money because catching up with gaga was basically - impossible. She was ahead of everyone else fashionwise and most especially, music wise. :staymad:

I became a fan when I heard the Stuart Price remix of Paparazzi at the grocery store I worked at back in '09.

I became a stan when I first got spotify last year and I was just checking out new releases and saw Joanne, and I fell in love after a few listens.

My Enigma Heart

I was hooked on Gaga ever since Poker Face came out. I remember sitting on the computer all day watching the music video file and writing the song's lyrics on a paper because I didn't know how to use the internet. And then when she performed at the VMAs 2009, I knew I was a goner.

Oh my god it was the Poker Face video with her coming out of the pool. Her look, her clothes, and her bang were everything! I was completely stunned - she was a mystery!

Then, the night that she bleed on stage, she went viral. The whole world was talking about her. I remember my entire family was in shock watching the local news channel reporting about her - they thought she got shot lol. This particular performance made me a stan. I just thought that no one at the time got balls to do what she did. The way she did that performance, to me, proved that she was not playing around.

Also, it was like, after that night she just kept out-doing herself. Hits after hits after hits. What a time lol :toofunny:
