The Fame Monster Review

This is probably Gaga's best album. Bad Romance has some sick beats and it is actually one of the highlights of The Fame Monster, relating to the message of fear of love, I think it is a mix of that fear and broken love, this song in my opinion can top any Gaga song on being the catchiest of them all. Alejandro is the best highlight of the album, its ethical inspiration and synths are probably what makes it so good. I love the music video even though it is controversial, so sad it didn't got to the top 3 of the videography megarate. Monster might be the top 6 in my list, Monster is poorly written but what saves it is the beat and the chorus. Love the Just Dance reference. Speechless is a great and my favorite song in my opinion, don't understand why people hate it, the album version is so and the acoustic is so  .Wished it was nominated for Pop Vocal instead of Bad Romance, she treated it like it was a single. Dance in the Dark is the top 2 of my list, Gaga probably ignored it and she just sang it at the BRITs because it is the 4th single. I still love the song nonetheless. It is one of the best highlights of the album, and for SHICD and Teeth, this is one word: Excellent! 

 

9.5/10 - just wished it is her official 2nd album and not a reissue.

Cute review, most people place it on a pedestal so I'd expect this!

For me, I'd say it's more a 7/10 or at most 7.5/10. The highs are really high (DITD, Speechless), and the trio of singles are all still strong, although a bit dated. Teeth as a wild card was a wise choice, it remains one of Gaga's most interesting songs, sonically. SHICD and Monster are stellar RedOne songs, the former is more exciting than a majority of his collabs with other artists, and although the latter is a straight-forward pop song, it works. It's a pretty cohesive EP, the only downside is the dated song of songs like Telephone and Monster - they don't carry the same kick 8 years later, whereas DITD and Speechless, and to a lesser extent Alejandro, all sound timeless. And while I appreciate Teeth and (probably her best song ever) Speechless, they do throw off the flow of the album.

I'd say musically speaking, SHICD is miles ahead of Just Dance. But I more so meant with the other artists that he collaborates with.

I personally dislike Just Dance. I think it's dull and repetitive, and SHICD is just a complete classic. Wish it was a single as opposed to Dance In The Dark.
