Prologue - Come on Shakespeare. Im expecting some love in this album. Ohhhhhh yes. She’s got her own sound finally. That track was haunting so I am expecting some cool tracks to come. 100 Letters - Love the tribal influence in this beat. Nice lyrics. This song is cool. Nice chorus. I really like this beat. Like this beat A LOT. The song isn’t really progressing that much. Compared to the anticipation the prologue built this isn’t that hard hitting. Getting a bit repetitive. That was decent. Eyes Closed - Nice guitar for this intro. OHHH come through then. Okay nice beat nice lyrics. If I keep my eyes closed he feels just like you YAS GIRL. This album so far is giving me major Rihanna vibes. It’s very much an Alt Trap/Hip-Hop vibe from this album so far. I don’t mind it. “It’s nothing new” (Kinda how Im feeling about this album so far). Im liking elements of this track but disliking some elements. Heaven In Hiding - Ambient intro. OHHH I FEEL A BEAT. YAS HEAR MY HEART BEAT F***ING KICKING. THIS TRACK IS MAKING ME BOP. Give me this drop now. SING IT GIRL. Girl this song goes in HARD. I keep on going to sing Yeah Im so bad, best that you’ve had, you’ve got me digging the show line from Blow Your Mind (Mwah). The beat goes hard and she is giving the vocals the song needs, I think it could have had a bigger drop. That was cool. Alone - Girl THESE BIG BAND AMY WHINEHOUSE SPACE PRINCESS VIBES IM LOVING THIS INTRO AHHHHHHH YES. Favourite song so far. THIS CHORUS YAS SING GIRL. IM LIVING FOR THIS TRACK. Favourite track so far. This has to be a single. Now Or Never - YOOUUUUUUU NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE NNEEEEEEEEEEEE NEEEEEEEEEEEDED ME. YOUUUUUUUUU…… Oh wait…… Wrong album…….. Oh crap sorry. Sorry - Oooooooooo a ballad lets see what this brings. This is cool, gives her some versatility. Great lyricism. Interesting concepts. Not a fan of her falsetto. The song is still really nice. This is quite relatable, kinda digging it. That was beautifully done. Good Mourning - I really like these poetic things littered throughout the album. OHHHH IT’S GETTING SPOOKY. This second half of the album better follow this trend. Sound Tim Burton-esque Lie ft Quavo - She about to get angry I think. OHH GIRL READ HIM TO FILTH. This world she’s creating is pretty well done. Okay not a fan of the rap feature with the heavy auto tune. The rap ruin’s it IMO. This albums two singles are so far my least favourite tracks. Walls Could Talk - OMG YES THIS IS BRILLIANT. I LOVE THIS. WE NEED MORE OF THIS YES. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BITCH THIS IS WICKED. It’s giving me Romeo and Juliet vibes if they were like trap artists. WAY TO SHORT WTF. Bad At Love - Come on feminist line bout the kitchen. SING IT GURL. She sounded a bit Florence in spots. YES COME BI SEXUAL MESSAGES. This ones cool also but it leans more toward the whole commercial side of this album. Not my favourite but I could see it as a single. Don’t Play - Marimba is cool. These beats are cool. ST. TROPEZ UM WHERE LANA’S COPY WRIGHT LOGO. OOOOOOOOOO THIS CHORUS I WANT TO GRIND GIRL YAS. DON’T PLAY WITH ME. Got it all right ike parmesan WAT WAS THAT LYRIC. AGAIN THIS CHORUS. WOMEN DON’t PLAY NO GAMES YAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS. Strangers ft Lauren Jauregui - Yeah now this song sound radio and like it belongs on a different album. Kinda sounds Badlands-ish. Not my fav but its okay. Angles On Fire - OOOOO I like the harp. Go IN girl I feel it coming. YAS I LIKE IT. Devil In Me - Sounds cool. Im kinda sick of all the you and crap, she kinda spends most of the album complaining about others. And again with the trap beats. I like the chorus. Hopeless ft Cashmere Cat - Chords are a bit predictable. Girl close it off with a banger. Very Halsey’s usual. A lot of auto tuned and distorted Moans, I like them they are creepy. But you just gave the song 1 and a half minutes of auto tuned moans but couldn’t add 2 minutes to Walls Could Talk. Nice ambient closing track. So closing opinions. There is stuff I love and stuff I dislike. It’s constantly set up to have a story during the albums interludes but I can’t seem to find one. The songs that resonate with me on this album are the ones where she experiments with different sounds but still keeps that trap feel. But the songs that are very commercialised for the majority bore me quick. Overall a nice album, There will be some songs I add to my Spotify playlist but I am not going to stream the whole thing in its entirity. Overall - 7.5/10 Fav Tracks: Alone, Sorry, Walls Could Talk, Don’t Play Least Fav Tracks: Now Or Never, Lies, 100 Letters Messy, Petty, Beautiful, Covergirl Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
