Let's say I've listened to it as many times as PI in its first 2 days :poot: And 2\3 of those times was me trying to like it. It def grew on me tho.

Yep, I like it :yay: I like the summer-fresh vibes and the R&B and chill-pop sound

I admit it is something so trendy I never wanted Gaga to do but turned out to be a great song actually! I really like the old vibes in it. Also bc I think the lyrics are Sonja related, makes the song even more special

... and now i just sit in silence.

I actually love it!

Strongly dislike all mainstream pop today, but can really bop to the synth of that song. no gaga bias. i promise.

remember losing my **** when she performed it at Coachella thinking it was the pop sound i've missed from gaga. accompanied with the crazy visuals from Coachella, it was the return of PopGa and crazyGa that i had missed. that was before it became asibGa.

be kind guys

Actually wasn't crazy about it at first, but once I understood what inspired it, I respect the track much more as a sweet song about her friend dying of cancer. More like bittersweet though...

Do your own research.

I like it, but I hope she wont make music like this for LG6. I want a unique sound

I will admit once the novelty effect has worn off, there's not much interest left in it 😐

Exactly. Maybe it's just me though, but I feel like the "It's too much like generic pop music" argument is a bit hypocritical. I mean, a lot of people wanted her to make pop music, and now she comes out with pretty much the epitome of pop music, and now people are complaining about it.

But it's important consider the reason(s) why they might dislike it. Yes, Gaga likes to defy expectations, but this doesn't mean that we can't criticize if she releases something that is perceived to be beneath her ability.

Disliking it is one thing and I respect that. But I've read some people thinking she suddenly lost all credibility because of the Cure. That I disagree with.

Yes, that is ridiculous. "The Cure" is many things, but it isn't bad.

i really like it, but—if i'm being honest—it doesn't feel like a gagz song.

I love the verses and the chorus (although the chorus is a bit generic and bland). However, what damages the song for me is the ending the chorus where she repeats "THE CURE!" behind the tropical house sound effect. I don't know what it is about it, but it doesn't work.

Also, another thing I thought of.  I like to imagine the composition of all Gaga songs melodically played on the piano. Being able to do so is a sign of a well crafted song in my opinion. The Cure's composition I cannot hear being played on piano.
