PunkTheFunk 124,406
Sometimes a story has no end I feel like a trend analyst trapped in a gay man's body Being bored on a Tuesday night led me to wikipediatrends.com, a site that shows you how popular a Wikipedia page is based on the number of views it receives. Without a second thought I typed in "Lady Gaga" and decided to turn my analysis into this thread. I compared Gaga's Wikipedia popularity with the wiki pages for Kety Purry (since this is KetyDaily after all ) and "United States" -- the most visited Wikipedia article ever that isn't about a website (Facebook, Google, etc. The reason these don't count is because a lot of their page views are just people accidentally typing site names in the Wikipedia search box ) (Gaga is the green line, Kety is purple, and US is blue). Here's what I found: Gaga's Wikipedia popularity started to pick up speed around July 2008 By January 2009 she is as famous as Kety, but that doesn't last for very long She experiences noticeable peaks in popularity on August 13, 2009 (not sure why tbh) and September 20, 2009 (a couple of days after the 2009 VMA's) The highest number of views her page ever received was on November 29, 2009, a few days after The Fame Monster was released. She experiences a couple more peaks over the next few months (I'm guessing with the release of TFM MV's, awards show appearances, etc.) but the general trend is downwards. Her page views are on par with one of the most popular Wiki articles ever ("United States") from late 2009 to early 2012. Page views are fairly low (by Gaga standards) in January 2011, but they spike back up again in February 2011 with the release of "Born This Way" Her page receives its third highest amount of views of all time on May 28, 2011, a couple of days after BTW is released. Just for the fun of it, I added the article for "Gay" to the graph (the blue line at the very bottom, pun intended ), and sure enough, there was A SPIKE IN PAGE VIEWS FOR THAT ARTICLE IN MAY 2011 WHEN GAGA RELEASED BTW THE HOMOSEXUAL IMPACT Her page receives its second highest amount of views ever on November 18, 2011, a few days after MTN was released (?????? can someone explain this to me?? ). Aaaaaand things just go downhill from there Her page receives staggeringly low views in the pre-LG5 era, when she didn't do anything and we were left to speculate about what she was feeding her horse. If I'm not mistaken, the lowest amount of views she ever received since 2008 occurred around the end of July/beginning of August 2016. For one glorious day in February 2017, her page views spike. Thanks to the Superbowl, her page briefly experiences TFM-levels of popularity. Katy's post-SB peak is minuscule in comparison. The only comparable post-SB peak was Bruno Mars', and even his was still smaller than Gaga's. Another day, another Wikipedi-Ga slay

Ooolong 4,440
Her Wikipedia views generally haven't been that big because they couldn't escape hearing about her everyday . Back in 2009, every time you turned on the news you'd practically get her life story and a look at the latest outfits she'd worn.
