Argentum 1,680
Apparently, the majority of fans don't hate Honeymoon... And then, there are some - like me - who could listen to her reading a phonebook. I can get into anything that she sings. The unreleased stuff, the demos, anything... "Δεν είσαι αγάπη. Δεν είσαι αγάπη. Είσαι οφθαλμαπάτη. Η τέλεια οφθαλμαπάτη" - Λαίδη Γκάγκα, 2016
n0ne 13,105
Yeah I never understood why too. Imo Honeymoon is a perfect mix of sounds and themes from both Ultraviolence and Born to Die/Paradise. It's tied with Born to Die/Paradise or a little lower for me. If we're not including AKA, Ultraviolence is her weakest album tbh I still love it though. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. Otherwise, it turns to bile and poisons us"
Gardevoir 9,820
Honeymoon has one of the best vibes talking about her albums. It's very mysterious and magical for me. Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

littlepotter 74,941
It's definitely my least listened to album, as far as individual tracks, but I put in on whenever I wanna relax and honestly it's just beautiful as fuck. chaeri pls
Sizzily 14,543
Gays don't like slow songs. Personally, I love it so idk. Tears in the rain
Pablo 7,780
Because it was boring I was a casual fan but then Honeymoon came out and I was done. Hardly any of the tracks are memorable. High By The Beach is the only title I can remember right now. Don't visit my profile
youandi 2,110
Maybe I've not given ultraviolence enough chance but when people claim honeymoon is too slow and boring, that's how I feel about ultraviolence and I just find it really samey. Honeymoon might have a lot of slow songs but they're mostly very well written and sound gorgeous
Batwings 12,882
I don't hate Honeymoon. I think it's a solid album. I think the biggest issue is that it came immediately after Ultraviolence which many fans think of as her magnum opus, and it's also a very dark, heavy album, and so the mellow lightness of Honeymoon was a bit of a letdown. Also, I really don't like High By the Beach. It's probably one of my least favorite songs in her discography.
nativenewyorker 1,190
It's not a bad album at all. It's just that her other albums, even Paradise, felt like they existed in their own separate universe. They transported you to New York, they transported you to LA. They felt like a movie with a storyline. Honeymoon was just kind of.. there. Like it didn't really have a concise theme musically or any storyline to latch on to. It felt like a random compilation of Lana songs. It sort of makes sense, though, that it's called Honeymoon. It feels like a vacation, a hazy dream. Coming after the cinematic epic dramas of her other albums, it just felt like the momentum she had been building sort of flatlined. The music is heavenly and songs like Freak, Salvatore, The Blackest Day, and High by the Beach are some of my favorite songs. It just didn't seem to hit all the marks like Born to Die or Ultraviolence. I love it, I just never fell in love with it as deeply.

I was always under the impression that the majority resented it cause it was so different to BTD/Paradise and Ultraviolence
funkyhaus 7,697
I was such a huge Lana fan, but I barely listened to Honeymoon. Terrence Loves You though
DXPE 924
I love pretty much everything Lana does but I don't like Honeymoon at all. for starters, it really begins on a bad note with the title track. that song is so lifeless and bland, I quite simply cannot. It has some cute moments during the first seven songs like "Terrance Loves You" and "High By The Beach" but I just can't get into "Art Deco" and "Freak". they just seem so uninspired the second half has some of the best moments like "The Blackest Day" and her cover of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." but it also has the worst somg "24" which I can't stand. so basically it's Lanas weakest album because it's bland and weak lyrically Spoiler BTD and Ultraviolence are two of my favorite albums of all time so I guess I just expect a lot from her
Damon 10,904
I don't hate it at all, it's great but also my least fav album from her tho ... and now i just sit in silence.
