manicholic 3,694 Posted May 27, 2017 Share Posted May 27, 2017 The White House is considering planning more travel and campaign-style rallies for the president following his return from his nine-day trip abroad, according to a Saturday report in The Washington Post. The plan is reportedly part of a new, aggressive communication strategy under consideration in reaction to a continuous stream of allegations surrounding the ongoing federal investigation into potential ties between President Trump's campaign and Russian meddling in the U.S. election. The Trump campaign on Saturday morning canceled a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that was previously scheduled to be held next week. “Due to an unfortunate change in President Trump’s schedule, we will need to unfortunately postpone the previously schedule rally in Cedar Rapids,” a statement from the Trump campaign read. “President Trump will see you in Iowa very soon.” Trump, who many consider to be in his element at campaign-style events, wrapped up his first foreign trip abroad Saturday with comments at a U.S. naval airbase in Italy for military service members and families. The president's top advisers, including Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner, are reportedly planning to set up a “war room” unit to respond to negative reports about the Russia investigation, according to Reuters.
