SAKIMA - Daddy

Apparently Sakima wants to replicate pop or R&B [and] rewrite queer stories into it "taking what Chris Brown might say about licking pu**y and rewriting that to be from a gay perspective".

Fine, but do you have to make the video such a turn-off?

Friends Of Matthew - Feeling High

I must have felt high, so high for lyrics like "do you believe in love", "watch the flowers grow" and "darling come here" to have made sense. I also remember it as more 3D sounding and sort of shimmery. So definitly. Maybe. Perhaps..

Dream Frequency - Take Me To The Top

This is mathematically designed to work to maximum effect for the largest number of (gay) peeps. Staccato piano? Check. Diva vocals? Check. Fever inducing house beat? Check. Some early rave techno Prodigy stabs from before threy thought they were fu**ing stars.

Fake - Brick

Swedish 80s pop and proof that visuals become dated before sound. Pretty cool song trying to be intellectual but fails. the spoken vocals in the bridge is high poetry:

"Can you imagine a flower with petals of steel

And you as its pistil?

(brief orgasmic moaning)

Surrounded...

Can you imagine?

Kannst Du dir vorstellen?"

Full Intention - I Love America

I first heard this track when Dave Morales, all bulging muscles and swarthiness and squeezed into a black tank top, played the instrumental version in a club here in Stockholm. It was definitlely the star track of the night and he mixed it in and out of the set all night.

I Love America (Original Sugar Daddy Mix)

There's something about the repeated title line, "woah" sample and whistles played at 2 A.M. to a packed dancefloor that produces a kind of blissful mass psychosis. Legendary night, fond memories.

Full Intention is a house music duo frm the UK.

Baby Ford - F E T I S H

Fetish is pure nose-bleed (check your nose at the 3:40 mark!) rave techno, but my brother Baby Ford managed to put something reminding of a hook and a chorus in there.

Sometimes I need music to blow my brains out and here it is!

You're welcome.
