I would say it changes by generation.

I would honestly say as of right now in 2017 Gaga has matured to Queen status. Not because I love her and this is her fan site, this is a completely unbiased opinion. I think that she knew the game so well, played it accordingly, and now she's doing her own thing. She has never really been a puppet to the industry, and she had her "underperformed"moment, rose above it and came back with a great era. She is in charge of her music and she knows what her image and sound will be for each era. She isn't afraid to challenge herself in music. She's pure talent in anything she does, and she's an amazing vocalist. She has never picked a petty fight over anything, yet has thrown some harmless shade. She stands for minorities and stands for peace throughout the world. She's an activist and an icon in the making. This to me registers Queen status.

I think Britney is princess of pop. Cute, bopable, but that's all. Nothing extra. Just fun music

These are my opinions and views.

Madonna is the one who made True Blue, Like a Prayer, Ray of Light, Confessions on a Dance Floor (and several other good or great albums) so my answer should be pretty obvious. She is easily the most versatile artist of these choices. Kylie has some decent pop songs but she can't sing and her music is mostly very shallow and forgettable. Beyonce is a technically great singer who makes repetitive and sappy love songs. Cher have an impressive career but her modern music suffers from overuse of autotune. I love her earlier, I mean much much earlier, songs though.

Cher. She is the true original Pop Goddess. Even Madonna's career follows Cher in a way.

Cher, Madonna and Lady Gaga are the three big Queens of Pop. Each to each generation. Grandma, mother and daughter :giggle: but really, these three built/are building a very versatile career and full of different projects, but always part of pop culture. However, Cher was the first and original. The three are Goddesses, but if there is only one throne that belongs to Cher.

Beyoncé is more the Queen of R&B I feel...

And why so? She's a pop artist.
