Opinion of Joanne

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I listened to it by myself... My friends that are not even a proper fans (consider them GP) listen to it more than I do...

It was not THAT good in the beginning and now it just burned out (for me at least)... maybe it's the lack of promotion or something, I dunno...

I feel bad for being so hyped about The Witness tho, because she's serving what most of us expected from LG5...

They can't scare me, if I scare them first.

It's still her second best album, for me, judging by how often I want to listen to it. And it's not because I have listened to the previous albums more, either, because I had only been a fan for a few months when Joanne was released. ARTPOP is still my favorite, though. That's the album I always want to listen to.

My fav album for like 5 months after its release but now I just almost don't listen to it.

Exact same thing with ARTPOP

I should ask myself question

I never listen to it tbh :cryga: I don't hate it, I just usually listen to whatever radio station google recommends lol. John Wayne I listened to on repeat for a while, same with PI, Million Reasons is even a bop. I'll probably rediscover the album later and jam to it. In fact probably today now that I'm thinking about it lol.

Overall I wasn't super impressed with the record. Still holding out for Gaga's disco masterpiece I know she has in her.

Ahhh nothing like the great cull of a new album release.

Loved it then, few songs made me cry, love it just as much now :flutter:

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

It's good but not enough

it doesn't deserve a 4 year wait for another album tbh something needs to come out this year or the other year

That's Gossip

I think it's an album that will be appreciated in the years to come - I do not think we'll get another 'analogue' type album from her for a while.

I think naming the album 'Joanne' was very sentimental for her. I still appreciate the album for it's authenticity and it's guts; it's musicality isn't something you'd expect from Gaga. I love the more traditional sounding instrumentals. The album was mostly composed using actual instruments as opposed to synths - I'd been hoping for an album like that from Gaga since I first heard her voice and discovered how in-depth her music knowledge really is in terms of its history.

I think Diamond Heart, Just Another Day, A-YO, Dancing In Circles, Million Reasons and Hey Girl are modern classics. Just Another Day has become one of my all time favourite Gaga songs - it's one of her most infectious songs, vocally. The title track is so beautifully mellow, and I really appreciate it's honesty - she recorded it in one take.

Honestly, I love the album. I always will!

It's slipped in my ratings but I still think it's a good album.

Born This Way > The Fame Monster > The Fame > Joanne > ARTPOP

I listened to it again after Sonja died (I hadn't listened to album in about a month or so) and the album is solid tbh, but not my favorite.

Judas Society

One of the most interesting career moves a popstar has made. Joanne made me really happy that I follow Gaga as an artist. Made me realize I didn't make any mistake following her. She can do whatever scheibe she wants and they are still interesting.

One reason why ppl can't understand Joanne is because they keep listening to "bops" but forgot to listen to the songs. :reductive:

When it first came out: I'm probably only gonna listen to a couple songs

Now: My favorite album of hers  so emotional and amazing

I loved it when it first came out. Now I still love it, but I don't listen to it nearly as often. Out of all her albums it has aged the worst for me.
