Then (per forum review):

LOVE Come to Mama, Just Another Day, Angel Down

Lukewarm on A-YO, Dancin' In Circles, Sinner's Prayer, Joanne,

Dislike John Wayne, Perfect Illusion, Diamond Heart, Angel Down (Work Tape)

HATE Million Reasons, Grigio Girls, and Hey Girl

Now:

LOVE John Wayne, Come to Mama, Just Another Day, Perfect Illusion

Lukewarm on Diamond Heart, Joanne, Sinner's Prayer, Hey Girl

Dislike Angel Down, A-YO, Dancin' In Circles

HATE Million Reasons, Grigio Girls, Angel Down (Work Tape)

Especially shook that I loved Angel Down (boringgg) and disliked John Wayne (tied for favorite with Come to Mama and top 5 of her discography). A little less shook, but still shook that I could stand Dancin' In Circles and didn't like PI.

Joanne is my favorite album from Gaga, since the first snippets and up to now. I still listen to it every other day. Sinner's Prayer is a lyrical masterpiece. I consider Million Reasons, Hey Girl and Joanne as one of Gaga's best songs ever. Come To Mama is also one of her biggest songs because of its climax. I love headbanging to John Wayne.

I love how Joanne mashed up four of my favorite genres: folk, country, rock and synthpop. It doesn't have fillers and every song is an individual statement. Every song has a different topic and production, but still manages to be consistent. The second half is better.

I gave it 8.5/10 last year.

Spoiler

Dancin In Circles is my least favorite. :giggle:

I loved it when it came out, I love it now, and I'll always love it :whitney:

It's a strong body of work consisting of quality songs and it's an enormous relief from the generic/popular sounds of today.

Sounds timeless. It sits nicely among my country-folk-rock songs. I still listen to the whole album. About 4x yesterday

I've not really listened to it properly in months

I don't think it's bad at all but I just don't think it has that Gaga spark that I liked in her previous. Just one of those things

Excited for whatever she brings next either way :)

It's her best album. They've pretty much gotten better each time actually (except BTW and ARTPOP are swapped).

I don't care for electronic music much, but I always had this odd love for Gaga's because of the strong melodies (especially her choruses) compared to most similar music by other artists.

With Joanne, however, I didn't have to make exception. It's much closer to the rest of the music I listen to (besides Gaga's), so I was very glad she didn't just put out another album of electronic music.

She's already pretty much done four electronic albums, and can always do another one in the future. This was a welcome switch-up (obviously C2C was a switch-up but that wasn't a pop era so we knew it was going to be very different).

Joanne the persona? hmmm....

Joanne the album? Her best work, there are no bad songs which her other albums (except TFM) suffered with. My favs are JAD, MR, Sinner's Prayers, Grigio Girls, Joanne, Angel Down, Hey Girl, DH. My only gripe is I think is the production of PI and DIC  (as cool as they are) doesn't fit with the feel of the album.

Joanne the era is underwhelming. Thank god the album is good.

It's a fantastic album when you just wanna turn on some music, relax, and read a book or something.
