For me Carly Rae Jepsen. I've listened to her since her very first album, and saw her a while before Call Me Maybe was a thing.

Monster Ball 2010, Monster Ball 2011, Born This Way Ball 2013, artRAVE 2014, Joanne World Tour 2017 (Both Nights in Toronto)

Just Dance didn't chart in the UK until January 2009

Yeah I've just seen. That's so weird because I'm 100% sure I remember hearing it on holiday late August in 2008 and then when I went back to school, it was the song everyone was blutoothing each other haha

Maybe you did because it was obviously out online, I remember listening to it quite early on too. But it definitely wasn't "big" to the mainstream at that point at all, I remember her explosion over here pretty vividly.

Yeah, I remember listening to Just Dance on a streaming platform in Primary School during really bad winter. Everyone was talking about it

Lana del Rey.

I followed her music and I remember when she released "Video Games". She was basically a nobody and I loved the music so much I would show it to everyone. And then, Video Games became viral, and to this day she is musically one of the few artists that never disappoint me.

Major Lazer / DJ Snake - Lean On (found it on soundcloud)

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.

Morphine Prince

The Weeknd. I started listening to his mix tapes in 2012.

He entered the mainstream in 2014 on Ariana's song and actually blew up in 2014-2015

Lana Del Rey for me. Not that she's huge now, but still, she's a lot more famous now than she was in 2010.
