I like Katy Perry, but I don't think that this is her best era. I personally think she's trying 'too hard' with all of these collaborations and the soudn that her music's going in. I like the concept of where the album's going, but the execution is just so bad.

The only song I've liked thus far is CTTR. I think it's a bop and it's a very well produced song. Bon Appetit and Swish Swish are just terrible imo

I agree! I'm shook by these songs and her aesthetic. She's giving us so much obvious ARTPOP and Bangerz and Blackout moments I am living. It's like she's mashed all our favorite pop gurls messy eras into one. Intentionally. 

And the songs are all bops! I'm here for this. 

My theory is she knew her comeback was a lost cause with the GP, so she said "**** it": 

And by "everything they want" I mean CAMP realness.

BA was a huge disappointment for me, especially with migos on it, it's utterly unlistenable for me

But Swish Swish is so good!!!! I like it better than anything on witness and PRISM, the only songs of hers I think beat swish swish are firework teenage dream the one that got away

Honestly I'm loving the direction and songs this era (besides CTTR) and her antics. The videos have also have been on point. She seems very happy this era and enjoying herself.

I feel like she should treat Witness as a project and release videos to many of the songs regardless if they become hits or singles.

I don't agree with you personally because there has been several songs on her aspects that were good to some extent, and from what we've heard Witness doesn't seem promising whatsoever. In fact, as she progresses it astonishes me how unprofessional her tactics are—and instead of garnering a younger demographic (around 10-16 year olds) she's acting like one herself and is appealing to them in a different way. However, with her visuals it seems as if she's kept it cohesive throughout the years thus we can always expect quirkiness coming from her but it doesn't appeal to me and isn't executed as well as her previous eras.

I'm with you. Roar kinda made me angry. The fact that even Sarah Bariliwu knew it was a Brave rip off was a no for me, and the whole prism era didn't really catch me. But I love the beats she has now, and the laughy situations she has put herself on just for headline promo. I think she's funny and I really like BA + SS.

My point was not that Gaga is an one trick pony  My point was that even if Katy doesn't find her initial success again that doesn't make her an one trick pony.Gaga has tried many things and she was great at them but she never found her initial success again.I love Gaga since the beggining sweety
