Personally, I will never vote Democrat or Republican again (even in the mid-terms).  2016 changed my mind about how corrupt it all is (Libertarian and Green Party have their issues, too).  Everyone has alienated their target audiences via polarizing rhetoric.

But, again, I take to heart what you're saying in terms of Trump vs. Pence [and I never thought Trump would help LGBTQ, minorities and so forth...that was all a perfect illusion on his campaign trail...man, he could hardly spit out the acronym "LG..BT.......Q"  

EDIT: Also, as a bit of an anarchist, I wouldn't mind have Trump ruin international relations so as to cause some chaos to disrupt the normative system...but, as a hippy, I do want to see everyone love and flourish!  Strike a balance somehow? hah

The fact that we live in a country where we can use the phrase (normative balance) and we got there with a two party system. That some people are now refusing to vote for because it's corrupt. Isn't that how we got Trump in the first place. You say everything is so polarizing but you have fallen into believing every polarizing statement. Yes politics is corrupt, but unless you are willing to change it from within, you will get nowhere. Even Bernie understood that and that why he ran as a Democrat. Instead of saying I'm not voting Democrat why not raise your voice with you Democratic leaders and demand change. Bernie did and the Democratic party has already changed many policies to reflect that. We shouldn't be running away from corruption we should be fighting it from within. If you get mold in your house do you put a for sale sign up and leave or do you find the problem and fix it?  Both answers are right but what happens when the next house gets mold and the next and the one after that.

Only thing that bothers me is that he's asking for impeachment but not backing his statement up with facts or making an actual argument. You can't just impeach a president because you don't like them. Nixon was impeached because there was cold, hard evidence on the watergate scandal. As soon as there is solid proof of Trumps corruption, then I would be all for an impeachment.

Impeachment has to go through both the House and the Senate and it requires a two-thirds super majority vote in the Senate to impeach. 

Something to think about...during Watergate, Nixon was down to fifty-five per cent approval with Republicans and the reason he was forced to resign (because impeachment was coming) was because there were incriminating tapes. Also, the country and the government wasn't as partisan at that time.

It's a LONG process and especially in this political atmosphere, it is next to impossible to predict what could happen from here. 

 

ANY Republican that goes into impeachment/watergate talk should go into the surprise category imo. Of course the majority are going to be silent, I'm not surprised about that at all  John McCain is also a pretty big deal and highly respected within the party - yeah he has attacked Trump before and dropped support for him after the hollywood access tapes - but him talking about watergate gets Republican ears up. 

Yeah, it's going to be a long process - the talk is really heating up though and the obstruction of justice could be huge deal if the Comey memo is shown to be true. If that's not enough though, there is a reason Trump was looking to impede the Russian investigation - I would be surprised if Trump makes it to a full term at this point tbh.

Trump's approval rating is at an all time low and he really isn't that far in. That number dips low enough and Republican leaders start thinking Pence is looking like an attractive option.
