not at all he has said countless times since 2012 that he is not gay in 1D interviews, a simple google search would tell you that.

I don't follow 1D. I just wish more artists would put there money where their mouth is, instead of paying the LGBT community lip service.

I understand the whole anti labels trend that's going on but it has a practical purpose too.

If I want to describe myself of course i'm gonna say I'm a lesbean and I love other beans but that's not who I am, it's just a description like I have a few hair lines, a shell on my back, no bra, and a bean.

What if I said to you, are those arms attached to your body? Would you say "That's not who I am I don't like labeling these things"

Hmmm sorry but I think he's doing this only cuz he wants LGBT community on his side.. And I find it sad cuz it's all just for us to talk..

no sis, he's been always supportive of LGBT community and I always thought of him as bi, and him saying that he doesn't want to label his sexuality just confirms to me that he's bi

well i think he's just being cautious he's obviously heterosexual but knows he has a LOT of gay fans and even meets them on a daily basis.

Also for the OP gay is a valid label, if you're saying that you may as well go ahead and tell people who've had the label since the days where you could be arrested and murdered for it and wear it with pride. And while you're at it tell the black community they don't have to label themselves as black anymore even though for hundreds of years they've been attacked and wear that label with pride. Just like gay people. :rip:

Being black and your sexuality are two totally different things. :rip: and I'm not gonna go there.

I have ABSOLUTELY no issues with people knowing i like to suck **** and get it in the ass on the daily. I'm not ashamed of it. but Straight, bisexual and gay are social constructs, look it up. :reductive:

I could fall in love with a girl within the next month and i'm open to the idea. I guess my experience with men who identify as straight through the years has shown me how fluid sexuality is. And they aren't closet cases. Hearing about their very different reasonings of why they are attracted to men is fascinating. I've even heard stories of a self-identifying straight guy falling in love with his self-identifying gay roommate just because he developed a strong emotional connection to him.

I truly challenge you to think about this on a deeper level. Labeling has only ever hurt our society

It's one thing to say that you are interested in men and women, but it's another to just say you don't want to be labelled. That could mean anything from homosexuality to asexuality to bi-curiousity. By saying you don't want to be labelled people walk away not knowing anything about you or your sexuality, it's a cop-out.

If I was a pop star I would respond similarly

If someone doesn't feel like telling their sexuality, no one should force them too. It's not anyone else's business.

EVERYTHING is a social construct to some degree. That doesn't mean that it's useless to label yourself. Some people even say species is a social construct, this chair I'm sitting in could also be a social construct.

To be honest, I was going to make one when his album came out.

This whole, "I defy labels" trend is really annoying. Sorry about it. It's like calling yourself gay or bi is a bad word. Why don't people just admit to loving man ***?

Maybe he swings any way?:lolly:

I see what you're saying so perhaps its each individuals choice to decide if they want to label themselves or not.

sounds fair

He's been very pro-LGBT all his life. It's sad that when we have allies they get questioned and labeled as money-hungry opportunists.

Just ask him if he's into guys, not if he's "straight"

Sorry but I never saw him talking about this when he was in ''One Direction''.. And you know why? Cuz almost every 1D fan was a girl.

From a marketing perspective this is the perfect stance to take on your sexuality. Girls feel like they have a chance with you, gay guys do, yet you don't necessarily have to alienate the homophobic listeners by taking on a queer label.
