Guest Posted May 15, 2017 Share Posted May 15, 2017 NBC has ordered a 12-episode Season 9 of Will & Grace. Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally are all returning. David Kohan and Max Mutchnick will return as the creators and executive producers and James Burrows will direct and executive produce, as he did every episode of the original 8 seasons. I love Will & Grace, but this might be one of those things that are best remembered, for me at least... W&G was ahead of it's time back then but still played it safe when it comes to show gay life and it was full of gay stereotypes (yeah I know it's for fun but still..) And now, in 2017.. the shows feels so outdated to me and I don't know if they will push the boundaries and give the characters more gay freedom. I'm not talking about sex, yeah maybe a pre and post sex scene (like kissing taking shirt off... waking up next to each other) but more about kisses more and more often, more touch and stuff..
