Calling Madonna lazy isn't the smartest thing to do. What Gaga has in vocals, Madonna makes up for it with her dance moves and that's because Madonna is almost twice Gaga's age.

Edit: it's one of the things I really love about Gaga. After all these years of success she still sings live, and is still learning to make her voice better and better. She puts in weeks of vocal training before big performances. It's so admirable.

I agree with this so much I just can't understand how someone like Britney can put out a song like make me when she's done so much better in the past. 

I don't think she needs to work on her voice though autotune could be enough but just find things that will refuel your creativity so you don't put out half asses music like try and record a jazz album or something or pick up the cello

You don't have to be an excellent singer to be a pop vocalist.

Madonna was dancing a lot more in her 40s than Gaga ever did in her 20s. Please take your time to even watch her tours before you say something this ridiculous.

She is supposed to sing! Who cares that she can dance? Adele doesnt dance, but she can blow the roof off with her voice. 

Dancing like that, for Madonna is to cover up the fact that she cant sing 

Come on, common sense tell you that a singer is supposed to sing. And if they cant sing but can dance then they are a dancer.

I'm not arguing with you anymore. I tried to convince you but you clearly already have your opinion and that won't change. At the end of the day, Madonna has been around for 40 years and that won't change whether you choose to discredit her work or not.

To start off this friendly discussion, Adele's voice is highly overrated.

 

Madge can clearly hold a note and disspite her age she sings better than some of todays singers. Yes she's not a powerhouse like Gaga or Whitney but her soft voice fits and sounds pretty good.

I'm not discredititing her work, she was big back in the day. Its just its the end of the road for her now and she has to retire now

Its not a bad thing, it just means that she has done her job and completed it. You dont keep stacking shelves in the supermarket until you are ready to die, there comes a point where you have to say enough is enough and retire. Its like Michael Phelps deciding that he was retiring after the Olympic Games. His time was up, he represented his country to the best of his ability and he knew that there was nothing more he could give. This is Madonnas time to retire.

I think perhaps if she were to switch styles of music, to maybe something more down-tempo/ambient/William Orbit-esque electronica, that her voice - with some training, of course - would fit better. She's still trying to churn out these pop bops, and while some hit, a lot miss. She could reinvent herself yet again to suit her limited range and it pay off. 

But, at this point in her career, I don't think she really cares either which way. She's going to do what she wants the way she wants, like she always has
