Not to mention Selena can never compete with Adele in terms of vocals. This is coming from someone who's been to Selena's show and not Adele's. I never said 'I think Adele made the better album because she has better vocals.' Yes I was talking about the quality of the composition of the music, not the vocals. Btw, if someone wants to take vocals and talent into account, he or she is entitled to do so because vocal abilities do affect how good an album is. We're judging something that is intrinsically subjective in nature with objective standards.' There is still some level of objectivity on what is considered 'great music' in the industry. Just because they said it, doesn't mean it's true. It's a highly commercial affair, anyone can see that just by looking at the winners of the 5 major awards over the past few years with very few exceptions. I don't believe that there are many people that think the likes of The Chainsmokers, Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift were objectively deserving of some of the awards they've won in recent years. Does winning a Grammy make Chainsmokers great music by default?

Does winning a Grammy make Chainsmokers great music by default? I've never deemed the Grammys to be perfect. There can never be one award panel which is perfect to judge music, something that is subjective in nature. It's true that popularity plays a crucial role in determining whether or not a song gets nominated or wins. I'd like to believe that popularity is brought in for practical reasons, because how are people going to notice a record if it receives only little attention in the business? I think you've heard albums which are in your opinion better albums than the ones nominated, but still there's a reason why people get more excited when they receive a Grammy than when they receive a People's Choice Award. There is some level of credibility in them. But still Dark Horse was nominated for Best Pop/Dup Group Performance when Do What U Want wasn't, so I get what you're saying. thatfoxyfeeling 13,019
Should be 80 at least just based alone on the fact he didn't follow the trend every other male is following.

I'm not deeming Grammys to be the absolute conclusive determiner either, but there's a reason why Selena hasn't won a Grammy, whereas Britney hasn't even been nominated for years. The grammys simply choose the most socially accepted album/song usually. Britney has the image of being a talentless product so they are obviously not going to give her awards (even for albums that deserved it like in the zone and blackout).. Adele's 25 for example,is a good album but it's nothing compared to lemonade, emotion or other albums of 2015
Damon 10,904
It should be at least 80 but well, slay those critics, king ... and now i just sit in silence.

gagaisitalian 3,573
I think the score makes sense! I am in love with the album, and personally believe the score should be higher, but objectively speaking the tracks on the album don't all flow really well together. Kiwi/Ever Since New York/Woman all play right after each other but sound like they could be from different albums.
