This song is a sultry track with breathy vocals. It doesn’t pack as big a punch as some of her previous work, but that is what makes it an extraordinarily special song. Whereas Get Right is full of energy, Step Into My World follows and packs as much attitude into a much more understated package. YeehawKylie 7,817
05. Waiting for Tonight Likely the signature song of Jennifer Lopez, Waiting for Tonight will always be an anthem for the impending millennium due to its iconic video. As stated before, Lopez has the unique ability to take a song either written for another artist or already performed by another artist (as it was here) and truly make it her own. Lopez is who made Waiting for Tonight the iconic, late 90s anthem it was then and remains today, and this song deserves no less than to open our Top 5. Hades 27,980
Waiting For Tonight must be #1. Control Myself was my jam too even though it should have made it somewhere in the list. This boy is fire with Santana is great too.
YeehawKylie 7,817
04. Love Don’t Cost a Thing Essentially neck-and-neck with Waiting for Tonight, as this is truly one of her best album openers and lead singles. It is the song that defined her early musical style. The production is a sweeping epic, to which Lopez’s vocals forcefully pull through. The video is, again, an iconic fixture of the early 2000s. Love Don’t Cost a Thing, to me, is likely her signature song (even if I feel like that title belongs to Waiting for Tonight among the general consensus of the general public). Listen on Spotify Previous: #05 Waiting for Tonight

YeehawKylie 7,817
03. Dance Again Yes, this song surpasses all of her iconic singles (by a hair). I am in love with this song and fail to see how anyone could ever overlook this pop-masterpiece. It is a beautiful, inspiring anthem of perseverance. The production does not miss a beat and even Pitbull is tolerable here. The lyrics and production are simply perfect together and Lopez proceeds to nail it out of the park with the infectious pre-chorus and explosive chorus. Why this peaked at #17 is beyond me, it deserved to easily rank in the Hot 100s Top 5.
