As a whole, living here is pretty much like that. If you live in the Austin area and most parts of the Dallas area, you won't have to deal with that. I don't know about the Houston area, but I feel like it'd be similar. I'm currently in college and living in the Dallas area and It's literally all liberals. My school is actually fighting against this right now and we are about to lose funding from the State because of it. I understand the arguments for sanctuary cities and I agree with the logic, but legally speaking I think republicans have the better argument unfortunately. Because the federal government was putting them in positions that could have been unconstitutional. They not only didn't want to hold people past their time or unlawfully for simple traffic violations, they were finding that it was hurting the safety of their communities...which ends up hurting their own personal safety. Federal law is making more difficult for law enforcement in certain areas of the country to protect their community. That's why there is so much push back from these areas.
