ooo 407 Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 why does everyone pretend to forget that doing a lot (and several times nonstop) promo effects her PTSD. why does everyone keep forgetting that she has explicitly stated in printed & recorded interviews that she's doing things at a pace that is healthy for her. let the bitch grow & film this movie & do things that make her happy. She did radio interviews at first, SNL, Carpool Karaoke (which made the GP love her again for her incredible voice), AMA's (the one with the guitar in the fields?), alan car's happy hour, Victoria secret, Dive bar Tour (singing on the roof of a bar in NYC is defo promo if the Streets are full), X-factor UK and the promo only 1 artist a year gets (mostly sharing with others): THE SUPERBOWL She also performed at Airbnb concert, Hillary Clinton's campaign (sort of promo?), and Coachella. Honestly, the only reason i want her to do promo is cause i love seeing her perform and they are never the same, so they are each worth watching (100xtimes). She doesn't need promo, she knows she'll sell enough albums and tour tickets to continue and that's all that matters to her. But that's just what i think. I dont get it First, The Cure and Joanne aren't mutually exclusive. For all we know, they're separate projects. Promoting The Cure likely won't result in significant gains for Joanne, they're different sounds, styles, and aesthetics. She's busy with a film now, she just doesn't have time at the exact moment to perform The Cure for promotional purposes and she may not want to for all we know. Second of all, Gaga has done plenty of amazing promotion for Joanne (SNL, Carpool Karaoke, AMAs, VSFS, X Favtor UK, Royal Albert Hall, Dive Bar Tour, etc). I for example see it in a different way. Joanne isn't a mainstream album and that's why she needs much promotion with different singles because this album contains different mixtures of genres. Superbowl and Coachella weren't about Joanne but her whole discography. And an album cycle is signed by official singles and music videos.. you can't tell me that her videos of this era costed as much as her previous videos... so there could have been more. I am not saying that, just saying she has done a nice amount (and some big) promo and i feel like it's now not gonna happen anymore, because if people haven't bought it yet, they prolly won't anymore.
