6 weeks in a studio for a Standalone song? Isn't that a little bit too much?

sis that's what Im trying to say....they probably made few other songs too. and the fact that he said what he said gives it away that the other songs that they worked on won't be released

Well. They can change their mind anytime.

No he didn't???? The article referred to it as a possible one-off single, but the fact is we don't have confirmation so we cannot say for sure if it's standalone. Not a very hard concept to understand. Lol.

And according to DJ White Shadow, a longtime Gaga collaborator who co-wrote and executive produced the track, that's only part of the reason why the song got released. "After it kind of got produced out, we listened to it and everybody was like, 'We got to get this thing out into the universe.'"

I bloded the words u need to read, hope it's not hard to understand this time

but it says according to DJWS The only reason the song got released was bc the song was great, that kinda gives away that is not a part of bigger project

That bit is phrased weirdly though. I personally read it as saying the song was released now ahead of summer ... "the track's undeniable flirty dance vibe...perfect...before temperatures heat up". The 'one-off release' thing in the middle seemed to be like an additional phrase there for description that's ultimately inconsequential - the sentence reads fine without it.

It doesn't say that's the only reason. The actual quote is "only part of the reason". Then he describes how they had a moment when they listened to it they just knew it had to be released now. The following paragraph where he continues on this point (which you excluded from your post) describes how he sees the sound as a counteraction to "terrible stuff going on in the world right now".

So I saw the described "reasons" for it being released at that time as a) to be out in time for summer b) to combat current negativity in the world. That seems quite plain to me. Being a standalone single doesn't even make sense as a "reason" for being released randomly.

Here's the thing. Whether it's a one off song or not, neither Gaga or her producers will actually announce if a new album is coming until they officially announce it. Just like the Super Bowl, Coachella, and even PI announcements were speculated and denied at first before any official news came out; any new EP or LP wouldn't be announced in a magazine interview or whatever. Just wait and see how things go. And be grateful that this song is growing on streaming which will allow Gaga to release even more music in the future thanks to the platform.

Once again, DJWS is not a valid source for this, and just because they decided to put The Cure out now means nothing. For all we know, they could've planned to release it later as part of a new album/ep cycle and ended up pushing it forward. We have no information from a direct source and no confirmation from Gaga's team.

he also confirmed in another interview that they've spent 6 weeks together in studio. And she said herself she spent a lot of time in studio.

There's no way she spent so much much time in studio for one song.

We love logic.

making music = making multiple songs tho

I hope that's the case but I doubt it tbh. One song is still considered music. He did say they were in the studio for like 6 weeks but that could be for anything. Like the Coachella intro or Joanne Tour interludes

imo its better this way, let the cure have ha moment and reach #1. tbh I wouldn't want Gaga to make an album where she tries to make hits and follow trends

he's a part of detroit city

This is speculation, likely true but especulation, the raw fact is that he said he wasn't involved as a producer.

The other raw fact is that detroit city said in another interview that they have produced more songs with Gaga, and that was up to her decide if release it or not.

What I think is that this interview is not redacted very accuratedly and we are putting in the mouth of DJWS words that aren't in quotation mark.
