That's why everyone ignored her during Dead Petz. But I do have faith in her though, she's really ballsy, talented and articulate. Glad she is clean and am intrigued about her new album. Never been a massive fan but I'm intrigued to see what this will be like. The use of 'rootsy' makes it sound like she's abandoned the over the top sound/attitude and quirkiness but I'm not sure how I feel about that because I thought that kind of style and personality just needed a little work and toning down a tad and she'd be very interesting. If anything Gaga largely borrowed from country music in order to establish it as a style of her own, where as it has been a part of Miley's childhood and singing career since she has had one. Bangerz was a mashup of pop, rap, country, edm. The aesthetic of the marketing was obviously supposed to be hip-hop influenced. But saying Miley Cyrus is going "country out of nowhere" is ridiculous. She's collaborated with Dolly ****ing Parton. Her dad is a country star. If anything, Bangerz was a departure, and she's finally making the music she wants to.
