I love American people and their culture and for instance Polish people are said to be well-read , resilient , feisty and intelligent, yet we chose the worst option possible, meaning the conservative party (PIS- Law and Justice) which has a majority of votes in the Parliament and they can do what the hell they wish to . They are tearing our long-awaited democracy to shreds and we have become a laughing stock as a country all around the world. I would say you will always find stupid and ignorant folks in every society- be it Polish, American,British ,which only goes to show that some people are brainless in general and they are a perfect target for populists that will do what they can in order to manipulate the masses.
