kupo 201
I love Isabelle! Don't get me wrong! But I think the look is terrible. The coat is just kind of dull, the skirt is tragic, and the makeup doesn't work. ...I like the beret.

Sister 9,907
Best : Gigi Hadid ^ Love it completely Worst : Bella Hadid. It just looks tacky for this event. AND also Katy Perry, it's just an ugly mess, but I do like the colour. also, Madonna was so terrible and I love her so, but huge NO. The future's uncertain and the end is always near. Rihanna pulled it off though while the others looked a little uncomfortable. At least they tried though. What I don't get is there are 30 years of Comme archives that fit different types of bodies. The bodymorph dresses are fairly new and isn't representative of Comme in the 80s, 90s and 00s. A pleated skirt or deconstructed shirt would be on theme and wearable. Instead we get these boring pretty dresses. I personally love Comme and have a few pieces. She designs great menswear.

DeleteMyAccount 11,881
It's not really a best/worst dressed, but Celine was there and did this. Reminded me of Gaga a little.

Your top 2 best dressed are great. I don't really understand Madonna's look as it comes off as very cheap. However, everything seemed so tame. Unless I just got the theme wrong.. The Met Gala kind of bothers me though. Gaga has been such a leader in pushing fashion and yet she has always been put down for it. And then we have these events where crazy and odd is exciting. I can see why some wouldn't like Madonna's look. But I like the bold statement and her hair and make-up look good. I still prefer the Rebel Heart dress she wore in 2015, but this was the second best one. If you want to see a cheap Madonna look, check out the one she wore last year, with her behind hanging out. This is exactly the kind of event that Gaga is welcomed and she's usually put on the best dressed lists, so it's a shame that filming just so happened to coincide with such a moment. 19 hours ago, Radio Ga Ga said: What? I actually liked number 7 worst dressed. I don't see what's wrong with it I laughed out loud when I saw it. You'd probably do the same if you saw someone walking down the street like that. The overly long red boot coupled with a white dress with a split and that pointless face covering just smacked of somebody trying to be avant garde and failing or fearing that if they look too weird, they won't look hot. It's always the same with these models. Looking hot and sexy is their only motive. Maybe not in the past because models back then usually had odd-looking faces and were mere clothes horses. But nowadays, models are supposed to be pretty of face as well, so looking overall hot is a massive priority to them. 19 hours ago, IndieKylie said: Surprised RiRi wasn't on the Best List Her outfit was just too OTT and restrictive for my taste, with her head barely visible over the top. It's just that there was other worse ones so she didn't make the top ten. 19 hours ago, LittleHooker said: WHY? Because the theme of the Gala was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons. Helen Lasichanh and Rihanna both serving with 'on theme' looks. Even if it is on theme, they didn't look good. Being on theme is ideal, of course, but you can be on theme and look bad. 18 hours ago, MJHolland said: Wtf? Madonna best dressed? I could literally go out and buy that outfit from Party City, it looks so cheap... And no Rih??? This list makes the "worst lists" list It's all opinion, no need to take my list so personally. 17 hours ago, moonsago said: Literally the only ones that respected the theme. @StrawberryBlond When you made the top did you even take in consideration what this year's MET was about? Because judging by your picks you didn't really. Yes, I knew the theme (although I'm not familiar with their work) but as we've seen from previous galas, not everyone sticks to the script. This year had the worst flouting of rules so much so that I just didn't even bother bringing it up. If so many people are doing it, it's not worth pointing out. Everyone seemed to be wearing anything but clothes from the themed designer, so I don't really know what went on but there was too many doing it to really kick up a stink about it. But they definitely need to be stricter with rules regarding the theme in future because it's getting ridiculous. But as I said in a few quotes above, the theme ultimately doesn't matter, it's just about who's dressed the best, on theme or not. And the ones who were on theme unfortunately didn't pick the best outfits. Like I said, I'm not familiar with the artist's work, so I don't know the range of their designs but from what I've seen, their vision just doesn't do it for me. Yea, it was over the top, but it was also one of the few outfits following this years theme and she worked a difficult outfit...so I felt like she deserved credit for that. That was ultimately the reason why I didn't put her in the top ten worst. I gave her points for sticking on theme and being different and pushing boundaries. I love a trier. But her little head sticking out the top was just too funny not to give her a special mention at the bottom for almost making it there!

I think madonna's look last year looked more expensive That fabric in the camp dress looks soooo damn cheap. Every detail about it screams Party City, I can't look at it... I like the makeup, and the hair is good but not with that look. Would have liked to see her commit to her own concept and put it up for a change. If she had a tight high pony it would have pulled the look together for me.
