Will KP4 be surprised released?

It's very strange that we still don't have a release date for Katy Perry's fourth studio album. Chained To The Rhythm was released on February 10th this year. The disctance between then and now is already longer then most pop girls do nowadays. On May 12th, it'll be the same time distance between the present and CTTR as the time difference between the release of Applause and ARTPOP.

So here's the question, will she announce the album in advance or will she surprise release and if so, do u expect a surprise release in the next few weeks?

I think it won't be released until there's a really successful single. Unfortunately, that must be the strategy of her label

If she wants to flop, sure.

Things are not looking well for her currently, she has to at least do some promo to get the public's interests, maybe release a few promo singles.

inb4 KP4 is scrapped and BA is called the "buzz single" ala Rihanna with 45seconds & BBHMM.

Her label wouldn't dare do that without a strong single to back it up. :cryga:

Surprise albums do garner a lot of attention by the media, but sometimes it's not good attention. :rip:

LMAO with the weak sales counts of two new singles, it would not be smart to do that.

Exactly. They're waiting for her "Work"/"Anti" moment. If it'll come..

There's no way they'll release the album with BA underperforming. So I'm guessing we'll have to wait a couple weeks until the next promo/official 3rd single is released. And then we'll have another few weeks or month until the actual LP drops.

My current guess for the release is in June.

It would work if she has done that with her first single (like Bey did) and considering CTTR debuted at 4 she might as well have debuted at #1 with a surprise release.

It better not be released with Gaga's brand new EP :stalkga:

It's coming out this summer, apparently in June (same date as Gaga's alleged EP)

As long as it won't be released on the same week with The Witching Hour. :nails: I am fine with whenever she releases it. I hope August so she can use some VMAs promo. I want pop girls to succeed.

I do not want another ARTPOP/Prism mess. :toofunny: Or any risks to break Gaga's No.1 albums streak (KP can't break that with her current numbers tho.)

I hope they let her release whatever she has instead of forcing her to come up with new stuff. I really don't get it tbh, Bon Appetit is a fun and catchy song, idk why it's not doing well :hmm:

Do you hear that? It's poison.

This, I mean we've all seen what happened with Rihanna and Anti - seems like they're pulling the same **** here.
