I'm honestly surprised at these projections. I figured the Migos feature would kind of help. I really don't like the song though. It's a bit trash, especially compared to Chained to the Rhythm - but a song being awful has never stopped a song from doing well, so I really don't know what is going on here. Maybe it will be a slow burner, but this is quite a rough start for someone of her stature.

No promo? This song had banners and has been hot tracked & sent to radios (and released with a full tracking week). And of course there would be some defenses here on Gagadaily, her fansite if Gaga was in her shoes, but mostly it would be a dragfest from her own fans, lbr (were you not here during AP era?)

All of Gagas singles after applause and except for g.u.y made it to the top spot of iTunes something a monster seller like Katy is yet to achieve with her new era. Ps the cure had zero promo and stayed at the number one spot for five consecutive days and debut at #1 worldwide, point out the bias

Are they known for anything other than that meme song (mannequin challenge that only lasted for about 2 weeks as it is).

I mean, do they have any music that is actually popular, and that didn't chart just because of a boring meme?

I'm sorry, but I think there was definitely A LOT of promo for this song. Homegirl was out in Times Square handing out pies, sending 'em to the radio, putting recipes all over twitter like.... she's definitely trying.

I figured a feature from them would at least cause some curiosity since Migos is pretty much at their peak right now, plus it will get her some play on rhythmic stations.

I think comparing it to other songs two days in is a bit thirsty is all... there really isn't any question either about the bias either this is GAGA daily after all so obviously we're always looking at the good.

edit: I think you missed the point anyway. The chartsters on this site are hypocritical by nature because many want to see certain artists bomb for reasons completely other than the music. Katy in particular. I didn't mention the cure. It is doing nicely, but it was helped by huge promo at coachella and the radio support/ spotify promo which was not a happy accident. Both BA and TC have been promoted but you ain't telling me homegirl handing out pies is equal to coachella, girl. Gaga put the work in and TC is still climbing.

Gaga performed TC at Coachella to around 100K people though and streamed it. And then instantly released it to iTunes. 

And tbh, if BA was a Gaga single, people WOULD probably defend it by saying we should wait a week to see if the label would do anything to save it. We don't even know if the BA video will do anything. It probably won't, but there for sure would be people defending BA if it were a Gaga song.
