A beautiful cover, I love when Lana does something a bit different than her regular genre, the effect on her vocals is stunning, the jazzy vibes to this track are really great and fitting, imo Lana really made this her own song, Lana's covers are the best, and this should've definitely placed higher!

@Radio Ga Ga | 11 | "I never thought I would ever like songs with such an old sound, but I was so wrong. This song makes me so depressed, and I always feel like I'm the "other woman" she's talking about, cuz when I was listening to this in high school, I had a crush on my straight friend (my roommate too), and he had a girlfriend, who is my friend (not really) , and I felt exactly like a side bit*h living all alone (except he never really liked me). Every single line is written so perfectly! So is old money, but I just like this one slightly more, idk why."

Her voice brings new life to this classic, and the narrative fits SO well on this album, and with Lana in general. The production is beautiful, her vocals mimicing vocal stylings of the era and recording technique all makes it sound very authentic in a totally different but still fitting way compared to Nina Simone. Also, some of Lana's most impassioned vocals on the record. Even with her out of tune drawl on the rising scalar parts, and her shaky vibrato with the cooing towards the end, It's just perfect. The almost trombone-plunger effect that appears towards the middle, the slightly rolled chord and drums at the end.. It's just amazing."

Nonetheless, I think this is Lana's best cover and it is a very good song."
