Eh, not really the same, imo (although it was still a mess)

Gaga never sent any of the alternate versions to radio or anything, and I believe the solo version only came out after the R. Kelly allegations were revealed, with the less sexualized Christina lyrics. I think Gaga was trying to separate her image from an accused pedophile more than raise its success, and it's not like R. Kelly would have been the one to raise the song on the charts since he wasn't trendy like the Migos in the first place

The Migos were known homophobes even before the track was released, but Katy chose to work with them for that $$$. When she faced backlash, she didn't cancel the collab but sent it to Spotify where they are popular and sent the solo version to radio

Sis the accusations were years old + i think rick ross was for rythmic radios and some pop radios indeed played the christina version.

truth is gaga did "remixes" like katy , and so what? let them do what they want with their music

There were a ton of people pissed off about Gaga working with both a pedophile (r kelly) and a rapist (terry richardson) together on a song about "doing what you want with my body"

I see. Were they made public? 

Even still, I blame the messiness on fear of tainting her image at a time it was already declining (thankfully it never stuck). With Katy, it seems like more of a charts thing than of a moral issue.
