I mean, Gaga has never NOT filmed a video for a pop single, so I fully expect there to be one. I agree about the backdrop though.

I'm thinking it might be from when the set, but not from the video shoot itself, a la Applause single cover.

even CTCs singles got videos lol

It's not and you know it. :reductive:

Especially comparing it with the amazing album that came before it, it's  genericness in obvious.

It is what Gaga needed right now though so I'm not gonna complain, I'm rooting for it's success...

I would rather listen to TC on repeat every day than I would anything on Joanne.

It's ironic to me that Gaga fans have the audacity to use the word "generic," when they're talking about one of the most famous and best selling artists of our generation. Gaga was the leader in creating "generic" dance pop in the late 2000s, and some of her most famous songs (a la Telephone) could be called generic. She aint some indie act.

About 50% of Italian radios have spun TC at least one time...

I think it's a good result if we consider that radio rotation for TC started 9 days ago here :giggle:

I'm not expecting from Gaga to make classic music, even Joanne is pop music.

The thing is that TC is like most songs that you listen on radio in 2016-2017, even if Arianna Grande sang the song, it would make no difference. Even the lyrics seem like Gaga didn'r write them herself...

Anyway I'm glad that people like the song, everyone has his own opinion in the end of the day...

Don't get me wrong, I love Joanne and I love MR specifically. I'm glad it got the promotion it deserved. But I'm not about to say I'd like to sit around with it on repeat in my apartment all day. There's a reason it did so well on adult radio, and did modestly well on Pop. Songs like 'The Cure' are just tailor made for her.

You literally have no evidence for that, so I'm sure she would appreciate her fans questioning her integrity. :rip:

I'm not saying she didn't, I'm just saying that it doen't have the Gaga style that you can always recognise in her lyrics.

Anyway as I said above I'm glad that people like the song, everyone has his own opinion in the end of the day...

The Cure isn't groundbreaking. But it's a much-needed reminder to the industry that no one does classic pop jams better than Lady Gaga. To say artists like Chainsmokers or Ariana could write it is insulting-- 'Closer' and 'Paris' don't even make sense lyrically. Being able to nail pure pop is what made her famous. /end.

We need the lyric video. To add some points!

They should have released it instead of the audio

Boys Boys Boys, Speechless, Telephone, etc. all say hello. I agree that a lot of her biggest hits have really standout Gaga moments (Bad Romance's references are incredible), but not all of her songs do.

I hope they remove the audio immediately when the video comes out. I don't want the views split. But judging by her past releases, it'll stay up.
