By the way, in an AMA with the most important (ex) radio DJ in the Netherlands yesterday I asked him how they decide to play a song at 3FM (one of the most important stations, basically boycotts everything post-BTWGa). He said they just listen to the song and decide if they like it or not otherwise they look at a combination of shazam/spotify/iTunes/other charts, but most of all Youtube charts. Also asked him why they never played Gaga, specifically Applause (considering it's Gaga's biggest radio hit in the US). He said he hates Applause 'so Applause for radio for not playing it', and he said that after one bad move in a career, audience/radio DJs alike can feel a kind of grudge where they're not interested in an artist anymore and don't want to hear it anymore, even though they like the song.
