The way that the USian government works it's really scary, like wtf he can do wtf he wants, can someone stop him? how can you give all the rights to make decisions and changes to one person?? omg this is why US is so crazy and like a scary roller coaster..

Why do you think judges have been blocking things he's done? 

There are powers that the Executive Branch has that are reserved to the president.

I hate that I'm saying this but I think this might be an actual plan to get leverage with mexico. This is the worst kind of governing. You can't threaten to ruin economies of entire countries. It has an impact beyond deal making when you're president 

But in any case, if that's true, @Economy wondering if you think NAFTA is a bad deal for the US with regard to Mexico? What needs to be changed? Is it just that they can pay people way less over there and there's nothing preventing companies from doing that because they can just send the products back over the border? Or is that a fake narrative? lol

I dont really know too much about US-Mexico trade. Im not really qualified to know why Trump is so upset over their deal with Mexico

 

If its just because of cheaper labor, then thats a stupid reason. The US has to compete its as simple as that

 

free trade is very beneficial because it promotes productivity and efficiency. 

 

History has shown that in times of protectionism the result was slower economic growth. During times of expanding trade deals, the result was faster economic growth

 

Now because the US is so large protectionism may not hurt it as badly as many other Nations but the impact would still be negative!
