My best friend's mother is close friends with Macron, and she told me that he was gay but it's a secret, but he's totally open about it with his friends, his wife being his best friend but nothing more.

Also, you guys idealize Mélanchon, he's scary af too ! I mean if you're left wing, you should support Hamon but not Mélanchon. Mélanchon always supported communist dictatures, and his program is not balanced at all, he literally want to tax rich people at 90%, which is just not fair.

Him and Le Pen are extremes candidates that will do nothing but hurt everyone

That's propaganda. He doesn't want to tax ALL rich people, but rich people who makes millions. And theses rumors about dictatures are false, they started with things out of context and media deformation. Always does.

But I agree, the character itself is scary, he has a temper, but is by far the best candidate imo. One of the few honest, that's for sure (What's good François?!). I don't like his views on Europe, but except that, his program meets my expectations about what the country should be.

Knowing he doesn't mind age differences, maybe I should try it :gaycat: hot, closeted and millionaire ex-banker, ex-minister and now-president

if Hamon stood a chance he would definitely be the best candidate, but since he doesn't it's not a useful vote. I think voting Macron might just delay the populist upheaval that will happen at some point in France. Mélenchon would have to make compromises with the socialist party anyways, making his proposals less radical.

On the other hand, his foreign policy is a no-no-no. Calling west-Germany imperialist for their 'invasion' of East-Germany :toofunny:

I saw myself videos where he supports Fidel Castro and other dictators... He also says that he will re manage France's alliances in creating alliances with Cuba and other Latin American countries over the US, UK, and other occidental countries. His vision of the world is too extreme and that is why french people used to not being supportive of him at all before.

However, him and Le Pen took advantage of France's bad situation (french politics disaster) to 'smooth' themselves and to look more appealing to people disappointed by french politics.

Mélanchon and Le Pen politics will both scare rich people who will go away and this will be very bad for the country.

This picture says it all, both candidates are into politics since a looooong time and never were really appreciated : Le Pen's father being negativist, homophobic, xenophobic... and Mélanchon being to extreme with his ideas. The picture says 'the problem with old people, is that they remember'

However don't get me wrong, I think that Le Pen is wayyyy worse than Mélanchon, but I'm just saying that both are pretty dangerous

The odds are extremely low, even if she enters the second round and faces Fillon or Macron she is projected to fail.

However, if she and Mélenchon enter the second round, it will be like Russian roulette with one missing bullet in the revolver

Didn't we also think that Trump wouldn't win the election? :laughga:

7% for Nicolas Dupont-Aignan :toofunny: Get your **** together France.

EDIT : Oh that's a poll from the 21st.

I'm reading what you are all posting about Le Pen and it's literally the same things people said about Trump :rip:

If she gets to the second round please vote against her even if the other option isn't the one you preferred.

Don't make the same mistake the US made...

Le Pen (dad) was up for the second turn in 2002 and then lost 83% vs 17% :toofunny: I'd be glad with a 35-65 this time

Well it's true, but France is a different story altogether. There is no complicated election system which may allow one of the candidates to disregard the popular vote by winning key regions. It's only the popular vote that matters in France, and the vote in Paris is as important as the vote in Nice. Le Pen will not win in the first round no matter what; but she is very likely to enter the second round and we are just fearing that she might face not Macron but Fillon there, and then the outcome won't be so easy to predict

You guys heard that she was ~denying the existing collaborateurs during Nazi Germany who were killing french jews? She's basically an antisemite just like her father, she's just in denial about that. She's scum of the earth to me. She should learn about french history before opening her stupid mouth.

She also said that the colonization in Algeria did more good than harm. :saladga:

Was it really her or her scary father who used to commit war crimes, torturing algerian people? This family is such a mess. If France really elects this breed, they're cancelled big time.

It's just a forecast. The results of this probably wont be the real ones, but that's interesting to post anyways

we shall only find the truth once the polls close, it's against the rules in France to post any data before the voting is over
