Are you talking about Rotherham?

Yes.  Shocking.  The government tried to cover the whole thing up.  That's why I take government statistics with a  grain of salt.  Just like America has had for 11 million illegal immigrants for about ten years now.  How the hell does that make sense?  Some researchers did an study where they analyzed remittances and building permits and estimated it was more like 30 million.  Yet the 11 million is repeated as fact to this day.

I was a civil servant. We kept loads of statistics away from the public because of how bad they were. The dwp still does. In Boston in Lincolnshire you can walk 2 houses down from any house and there'll be a Portuguese family, for example.

Or how about the fact that there are around 20 large gangs in Bradford, all Muslim,  that will stab any white person that goes in their territory and that includes police. That puts them above the law. But nobody can do a thing about it.

Not to mention the 1400 Sikh and white girls raped by Muslim gangs.  That went under the radar for a decade. I read the inquest and it was shocking how the authorities covered up the truth.

Can you please give us sources and links to read up on these incidents?

I think you should also look into the Catholic churches cover up of molestation in Boston alone: 300+ priests/brothers involved, over 1000 victims.

I only point that out because you two seem very invested in pointing out groups of people and wrongdoing.

This Thread needs urgent cleanup, it has veered dangerously off topic. The language stats of London and other things have nothing to do with the French elections. Can a mod clean this up?

@Haroon @Ibo@Zilla @PartySick ?

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.

It is shocking that we've been discussing, whether English is the most common language in London this long. Look into data of ethnicity in London, of Religion in London, it does not add up AT ALL.  Unbelievable to make facts up like this. Un-****ing-believable. English is the most common language in London. By far. And everyone who's been there can easily tell.

To just make up facts and not backing them up leads us a very dangerous road.

Its sad that there are people that are so entrenched in their ideas that even when the facts are shown in front of their face they can't admit they were wrong. I respect how you feel and your beliefs, however you can't spit out such an insane lie such as that english is the 3rd most spoken language in London. Do you know in which city english is the 2nd most spoken language? Mexico city, so are you telling me that Mexico city has proportionally more english speakers than London? I have lived in both cities and that is just NOT THE CASE.

I am sorry and i hate getting into petty fights on the internet but I can't let lies like this being spread.

Take care

:ohno:

Would you like me to write this fact on a website and link you, thus becoming a "source"? My source is the dwp.

I seriously cannot. It's like you're voluntarily displaying unintelligence.

The odds are extremely low, even if she enters the second round and faces Fillon or Macron she is projected to fail.

However, if she and Mélenchon enter the second round, it will be like Russian roulette with one missing bullet in the revolver

Everyone thought that Trump would lose though :icega:

https://files.datapress.com/london/dataset/2011-census-diversity/2015-11-03T10:50:22/CIS2013-01 Main Language.pdf

Source here from the census information scheme shows that for 22.1% of people in london english isnt the main language. that means that english is the main language for 77,9% of people it is.

The 2 most spoken languages after english are polish at around 8% and bengali at around 6%

@ShockPop

I understand that at your job it might feel like most people dont speak english but this just isnt true.

I respect your opinion just dont spread misinformation, it doesnt help anyone

:ohno:

even better: looking at the document, it's 8% Polish of 22% non-English speakers aka 1.8% speaking Polish. And here @ShockPop is arguing that this is old information and Polish (or a different language) somehow gained 8 million speakers in London in a few years :rip:

I was watching the John Adams series from HBO and they had scenes from Amsterdam.  Life seemed a lot simpler when everyone was simply Dutch.  Now everything has a million moving parts that have to be layered on top of every other problem.

:rip: nothing valuable to say? No argument? Just saying something unrelated to the things I was talking about? that's sad.

Catholic church is its own problem and worthy of discussion but not what is being discussed here.

Just an observation of how complex our societies have become.  Settle down...

Guys can we please stay on topic :sweat: This is an important and serious thread and isn't the place for tangent discussions, if you want to have discussions about things other than the French presidential election then please create a separate thread for it. Don't derail and dilute this thread please :S

What facts would you like to talk about?  I have a masters degree so I'm fact-prone.

The problems are the same, bud. And you're the one that brought the problem up in the first place.

Anyway, I wish great luck to France in the election. It's interesting how their elections work compared to the US.
