The English language is a mix of various dialects, but essentially, yes. Going to London you will have trouble communicating with locals due to language barriers. Get on Google Street view if you'd like proof of how non-English it is. There's no attempt to be involved in British life at all.

You complained about "muslim birthrate" you're litteraly saying thousands of newborns are an issue because some may become terrorists I said that in the context of France becoming an Islamic nation. At that point the whole political structure could change. I don't think that is what French people want.

I havent really gotten involved in this thread because people are entitled to their opinions but when a falsehood is thrown out there I have to intervene. Yeah, i'd like to see that statistic, because every statistic I've found has English as the most common language by far. So yup. Receipts please, before you continue spreading this tragic bullshit. + London has been a melting pot for a looooong time. Longer than 2003, so the things discussed are just absurd. https://www.last.fm/user/derOlliM

You come into a country you have to respect its rules, its values, if you don't like democracy go somewhere with less democracy. If you wish the country was highly religious, move to Turkey, or Saudi Arabia, or any country you look up to, if you hate capitalism go somewhere with communism, it's really simple. No, it's not simple. Integration into society is not easy, especially when your society is margianalizing you to vast extremes. If you feel as if you are not wanted in your society, you will try and gravitate towards a community that understands you On top of that, most immigrants that immigrate to most major western countries are not going to let go of their cultural values that quick. It's common, but traditions and cultures of the mother culture tend to saturate themselves with the national culture to create a new culture. That is, unless people feel that they are being highly margianallized so they retreat into themselves into their mother culture and do not wish to interact with the national because they feel so unaccepted due to people like yourself that exist en mass in a country like France Moreover, most immigrants tend to be poor and uneducated, and that makes them prime targets for conditioning by extremists. Their margianalization makes them even higher targets because who are some of these Muslims going to gravitate to: the country that promised them amnesty or financial prosperity but treats them as if they are animals because of their religion or the extremist Islamist group that promises them salvation in exchange for their support? Obviously the latter, and it's obviously not a majority but a sizeable amount that is alarming and will continue to increase the more ostracized these people feel or become. The same thing had happened with peoples involved in the Latin American drug trade. Just look at how Pablo Escobar managed to militarize and mobilize much of the Colombian public who were feeling unwanted in Colombian society, or the Mexicans that I know, some of my own friends, family, my own parents even, that support figures like "El Chapo" Guzman because they say he is out for the poor and understands their cause. This isn't a matter of integration if the reality is that you are uneducated and margianalized by society. However, people like you will almost always NEVER get what it's like or understand why things are the way they are because you point fingers at religion instead of the societies, both Western, Near Eastern or Far Eastern, that culminated in how certain peoples will or will not function in your society DO NOT @ ME UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY If all you're going to say is that I don't understand because I'm not French or because you want to wholeheartedly drag a religion that has been abused, just like Christianity in the past, to push unrelated ideologies into the mind of those vulnerable religious practitioners. I understand because I know what it is like to feel margianalized and that there are various factors that will influence that margianalization, but I'm conscious of this reality whereas many others do not realize their or others societal margianalization

Plenty of migrants went back to their home countries because it was so hard. The ones that stayed really wanted to become American. Now new migrants get housing, health care and cash without any effort. It's a different expectation and that creates different communities.
Morphine Prince 109,654
Jo Caird Correspondent London, England, UK London is a hugely diverse city, with hundreds of languages spoken by its approximately 8 million inhabitants. The most widely used is of course English, but around 22% of residents have another mother tongue. The most common other languages you'll hear in the city are Polish, Bengali, Gujurati, French, Urdu and Arabic. The 2011 Census revealed that over 100 languages are spoken in 30 of London's 33 boroughs, meaning that this astonishing diversity is to be found right across the capital. http://www.forbestravelguide.com/london-united-kingdom/what-language-is-spoken-in-london
