BloodyJudas 2,758
Hi guys!!! The reason I start this topic is I am to memorize a speech of a famous /succesful person that inspires me and of course it is Gaga. Now I was searching for her speeches in Youtube but still I am not sure which one to choose. First off, the speech should be 5-7 minutes long. It should be about who she is, what she stands for or what made her succesful.I want the speech to be articulate, a bit funny, interesting and "Gaga-revealing" if you know what I mean I'd be really grateful if you would help me find the best speech possible Plus, I was so happy today during my English translation classes as we were to act out the roles of doctors and patients and we had a script and once a female friend talked about the approach toward mental health in mass media, she gave an example of Lady Gaga and she elaborated on it for awhile and I was so happy when Gaga's name came up, started smiling wide and all the people in the classroom (they know I stan hard for GAGA and Nicki) looked at me and smiled too

shame 25,360
Lady Gaga on Wanting to Quit Music and Happiness I know it is short but maybe you can integrate other things she said at the Emotion Revolution Summit. angels forever, forever angels
SilkSpectre0 547
You could talk about the born this way foundation and the work it does as that represents most of her important values. I think it's admirable that she uses her own personal success and fame to draw attention to more important issues than herself from the beginning of her career I.e equal rights, bullying, youth issues, mental health. You could even mention her help in repealing don't ask don't tell as that's an example of her using her platform to help fight for equal rights. Good luck with your speech you've picked someone with lots of reasons to admire so I'm sure you'll do great you should let us all know what you write in the end. Florian 19,971
You could talk about her rise to the fame (I let you find that part, you can use some figures, records, etc) and all the consequences it had on her personal life (in order to add depth to your speech) and here is a video that could inspire you, it sums up almost everything about Gaga's state of mind as an artist
Joga 3,813
You should talk about how she dragged the LGBT out of the closet and how she made the anthem Born This Way. And about her passion and dignity, of how you became a stan, and state some inspiring things she have said, like 'You define beauty for yourself, society doesn't define your beauty.' She's Mother Monster because she grabbed the Little Monsters' hands and embraced them with grace, empowerment and equality, and on her deal with insecurity on her Born This Way record. She told you to be the F you wanna be, she changed pop music, and she is somebody you can hold on for the rest of your life. edit: She's somebody you wanna hang out with, because she's f-ing funny and claps back at mediocre people on Twitter. I hope you'll score a high one, and it's one of my dreams to write a thing like that. Kattys 4,319
Not exactly a speech but it's my favourite Gaga interview ever, every part is interesting and sort of tells whole story about her, you could take some pieces...nothing beats this masterpiece!
