It wasnt just a mistake. It was a mistake while criticising it. If your being negative towards something and use innacurate facts, it doesnt speak well for the rest of what u might have to argue. Combine it with the fact that nothing he said was ever reported in a credible site... I take it with a heavy grain of salt. I cant say hes wrong for sure. What they do is mentally abuse and brainwash their member into thinking that if they do not follow everything the leaders tell them (which is 5 white men from the U.S.) they will die. So I say thank you lord for this, Russia has acknowledged that this is an extremist group so for that i'm thankful. You do realise that Russia is not your friend, right? They prosecute gays, not defend them. This is not an attempt to rid their community of any wrong-doing, this is an attempt to control what people think, by making specific beliefs illegal. If there are actually valid reasons(which I haven't seen anywhere), then okay, but $20 says this is just because they're not the Orthodox church and they're a small denomination that is easy to persecute. $20 also says this will be reported on more than the Chechen concentration camps. I'm an atheist but I have to confirm that all the JW that I have met were really peaceful and kind ppl. Of course they are beleiving in fairytales and don't accept Gays, non-married ppl etc but at least they seem less harmful than the poisonous Christian Taliban Orthodox Church! Every time I asked about it, my parents, elders or the circuit overseer, they always shut me down. They say the organisation never said that or that we shouldn't talk about it etc because they don't want bad publicity. According to the organisation everything they say is the truth, thats why the jws teaching is usually referred to as ''the truth''. So when things they have said turned out to be false, they try their hardest to cover it up. You are not allowed to ask questions, criticize or anything because you always get shut down and people start spreading rumors about you. Still today you get taught to not get education as it can lead you off Jehovahs path and instead aim at higher spiritual roles for example full time pioneer or working at the Bethel. Now just a couple of years ago they put together all the bethels in Scandinavia in to one so they t let go of a lot of people working in the national bethels.
