I've been an avid KiSS 92.5 listener ever since it was called Power 92.5 in the good o'days. Anyways, as a listener, I've come to realize there have been outside players influencing the music played on radio stations in Canada. Especially recently with the recent launch of iHeart Radio Canada. I understand the logic behind this however, what I don't understand is the reasoning behind blacklisting artists such as Lady Gaga & Madonna on Rogers stations across Canada. I totally realize Gaga and Madonna are both "older" artists however, I can't ignore the fact that Katy Perry, whom is actually one year older than Gaga is put on rotation nearly all day. While Gaga struggles to get even one play on KiSS. Again, totally not inferring some "ageism" upon the Music Director but it does seem like there are red flags appearing. If possible, I would love to hear KiSS play at least some older Lady Gaga songs. Iconic songs such as "Just Dance" and "Born This Way" are super important to hear considering the very hostile environment we live in. If you happen to play anything new by Lady Gaga, such as "The Cure," that would be wonderful as it's a wonderful song to jam out too. Haha, almost as similar as "Like a Virgin" by Madonna. Thanks for hearing me out. I don't expect a reply but rather some action taken from management at KiSS 92.5 regarding the matters listed above. Have a wonderful rest of your day!
