I try so hard to be positive about pop music (even though I'm clearly biased), but I just can't dig the Katy thing that's happening right now, and honestly, I don't think a lot of others are either. She's coming off super desperate, both for attention and Grammys (usually it's one or the other, though not always). Don't quote me, because I'm still pretty new to being interested in the charts and all that stuff, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not a huge hit (at least by Katy Perry standards)

so, i just finished work and i turned on my car and i thought ..i'd love to hear The Cure right now.. and on the radio is The Cure blasting through Sydney's biggest radio station at 1:30pm.

followed by the host saying:

"That's Lady Gaga's latest hit The Cure, which she premiered at Coachella; an amazing performance by an amazing icon."

Really? When was it exactly? Maybe when she had 5 number ones from one album? 

I don't think she ever lived in Gaga's shadow. She's her own artist and so is Gaga. It was always the stans who thought one is better than the other. Both have their advantages and their respective stanbases will always disagree what is better - getting Grammys or having 7+ nr 1 singles.
