The fans bought The Cure on iTunes in the first days. Now, non-fans start streaming it. It's the younger audience/millenials who have no time nor money to buy a song on iTunes. LittleHooker 3,079 Posted April 23, 2017 Share Posted April 23, 2017 UK Spotify TOP 200- The Cure TC: 16/04: #90 : 65,024 17/04: #84: 72,402 18/04: #86: 78,743 19/04: #69: 91,034 20/04: #60: 103,611 21/04: #48: 143,588 (*likely boost from New music Friday) 22/04: #49: 124,790 (Maybe dropped due to Spotify not updating the Official 50 chart and streaming numbers being lower on weekends) So a very steady and impressive increase in streams here in the UK. Should also be noted that although The Cure has had its first official 'drop' in streams between 21/04-22/04, It was streamed 18,798 less times I don't think we have anything to worry about. edit: Also just checked and, all but 4 songs above us on the Top 50 in the UK have been/ or are- radio 1 play-listed. In fact I think THE CURE will be a streaming hit just like Kill Em With Kindness as I said in the previous post!
