The Cure - needs some adlibs?

Anyone listen to The Cure and imagine a huge backing vocal holding the note 'CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' at the end big Lea Michele style. Feels like the song is missing some huge belting vocal finisher.

Anyone else add an extra 'eh' to 'I'll still love you anyway.. (eh)' ?

The song is ****ing great otherwise.

I wish you didn't post this because I was perfectly satisfied with the song the way it is but now I kinda do want some Adlibs

Yes :) Since I've listened the song two times I always like to add a higher harmonie/adlib to the final "I'm gonna heal you anyway"

I would have liked a 'wooooo' vocal whisper over the second pre-chorus or something like that.

I need some whistle note in it like duh. Don't give me that computer synth, I want some Mariah Carey realness

I was thinking the same thing! But you're right it's f***ing amazing as it is. Def can't complain and I'm so in love with it but she'll probs just add on live ad libs on the tour as she usually does with some songs

On the other side, I like it when her studio version are very clean and simple. (like Paparazzi) and she does the harmonies and adlibs on the live performances and on tour.

And this is why she needs to release two versions of every song :crossed:

The "clean and simple" mix and the "my fans are now bald" mix

I totally agree - thought it was missing some ad libs or something extra towards the end.

I actually think a rap feature with a really popular rap artist right now, after the second chorus, would really help with streaming and make this song even better!!! Imagine seeing The Cure ft. Kendrick Lamar, Drake or even Nicki on this.

I can hear a few towards the end of the final chorus but I never knew I needed more of it till you mentioned it. :lolly:

idk, I really enjoy the simplistic pop feel of the song. there are some ad-libs in the final chorus, just not very loud. I heard them last night.

I think she purposely leaves certain ad-libs out of the studio version of some songs so they sound better by comparison when she does them live

Yes, especially in the second verse and final chorus. Seems kind of bare. Still slays though
