I like 'The Cure"!

But I just don't understand why it's released now. Why not after this era?

We were? are? in the Joanne era.

And the era was doing good.

We just had a hit with Million Reasons going platinum, with 900k pure sales in the US. It was a cute radio hit as well.

Joanne -> 500k+ pure sales in the US, on its way to platinum on RIAA (~800k actually)

The Joanne World Tour is coming, yeah Joanne, so I don't understand the release of this song, out of nowhere, which has nothing to do with the sound of the masterpiece which is Joanne.

Really I'm happy we have a new song etc, you'll say 'be happy, we have a new song'

but it's really weird to me.

I honestly don't think she would end the Joanne era right before a world tour called The Joanne Tour. Either this is just a random, standalone single she did for the heck of it, or there's a Joanne-related mini-release coming.

Coachella's buzz, MR donig good on radio. I don't like the song at all. But The Cure could solve her streaming problem. DiC was too risky. The Cure has the tropical trend, it has nice lyrics like MR...

she's just taking advantage of the moment to fix her streaming problem, by releasing a very generic and trendy song, that i hope it smashes, despite i don't like it.

I am a bit disappointed that the Joanne era seems to have been cut short like this, but if it means we get more songs like The Cure I'm all for it. Praying it's not just a buzz single though
