Why isn't The Cure getting copyright protected?

There are multiple, non pitched, uploads of the song on YouTube, and Gaga's VEVO STILL hasn't uploaded it to their channel. This is really confusing, as this is an obvious radio song, which don't do well if they're easy to pirate 👀

Maybe they're waiting until Monday or something? Today is a Catholic holiday that Gaga's likely busy celebrating with family, they may be planning a slightly different Coachella performance for next week, etc. I'd give it a few days.

She didn't sacrifice anything. Gaga is a singer and being a singer is a job, not a charity. She made a song that is more pop-influenced and trendy because she wants to sell records and make people dance. She cannot always make music just to prove a point of being able to sing all genres because last time she did with Joanne, she made an album that didn't yield one memorable song or video, and the world hated it and neither her fans nor the general public liked it, especially when you compare it to her past success.

As for "uniqueness", Gaga is different compared the singers around her, mainly by her image. Her songs were never stuff that we've never heard before. Her lyrics stands out, her image is not seen by singers of her age, but we've seen them all before from Madonna, MJ, Grace Jones, Cher, Bowie, Elton John, Lisa Minelli, Donna Summer..etc. so the only uniqueness is the fact that no other singer of her age looked that shocking and extravagant. But as for the music, it's always been the trend of their time, especially The Fame which is the typical rapper vs. pop star or the sex-influenced pop album with a sprinkle of symbolism. 

The thing that made her stand out was her visuals, making short film rather than simple music videos, extravagant outfits and avant-garde look.

So there's nothing wrong with The Cure nor anything was sacrificed. If anything, she sacrificed her fanbase with Joanne because everyone hated except for a few, most of which only claimed to like it to save her face, and others liked it genuinely, but they're by no means a majority, nor would've even looked at Gaga had it been her first album.

Now back to the Copyright thing, a lot of songs get posted on Vimeo, Facebook and many other share sites, yet they still chart if they were good enough. So let's not try to blame secondary reasons for the success and failure of the work itself. And at the end of the day, her success is her and her team's problem, not ours, I guess.

If my opinion was wrong, you would've seen the album rocking the charts and getting lots of praise from fans on forums and Twitter. But last time I checked, it made nothing special in terms of chart success or praise from fans or any momentous moments, especially compared to her past works. No one can deny that.

But I guess some fans back in TFM and BTW days were like "Gaga is better than the basic pop girls like Katy Perry. She makes unique music" but when Joanne came out and people complained, they were like "do you want her to go back to making generic music like TFM and BTW?" It's like make up your minds for God's sake. LOL.

All this considering the fact that the album is soooooo different than anything else gaga has ever done.

Sales does not equal praise or success. Joanne was much more critically acclaimed than ARTPOP and got really good reviews, it's had a single that's been charting for 6 MONTHS and is still being lapped up by the GP, she got the Superbowl off the back of Joanne, she got Coachella, has almost sold out her tour for the album, plus it has actually sold quite a lot and made her the only female to have 4 #1 albums this decade so I don't get where you're coming from. These are just a few things off the top of my head leaving out many, so just because YOU don't personally like it doesn't mean you should make generalisations about what EVERYBODY thinks. Plus you also shouldn't look to this site for reviews since the majority of feedback on everything is negative on here as the ones who actually like what she does don't have to run around absolutely every thread telling everyone what their opinion is because nobody gives a sh*t.

Joanne is gold in pure sales (excellent for 2016/2017 standards), the third best selling female album of 2016, the best selling female album of 2017, and no other female album has sold more since its release. The world obviously did not hate it lmao

Pressed of what exactly? An album I and many people did not like? Gaga isn't my mother or sister or friend. She's not paying me to like her nor is anyone else paying me to dislike her. Her success doesn't mean anything to me and neither does her failure. What I care about is songs that appeal to me. Whether she changed her direction or not, is not anyone's problem. That's her and her management's decision, so if you wanna compare her success, compare it to her past successes because she's the same singer. She doesn't get a free pass because she changed direction, because no one forced her to do so.

I didn't assume the opinion of the world, but if your opinion was right, you'd see more people her praising what she did, which I cannot see, and the songs you mentioned aren't even singles, save for Perfect Illusion and Million Reasons, the latter got Super Bowl promotion and didn't have make that huge of a success, compared to songs like Starboy, Closer or the other hits of the year. Not to mention how non of the videos she made had any significant impact on anyone, and that is sad especially from someone who had one of the most viewed videos on YouTube with Bad Romance and most of her videos crossed the 100 and even 200 million views mark.

No one is pressed just because they dislike something. I'm on this forum because I like Lady Gaga's music. However, I don't owe her to like everything she does and I don't owe anyone here to lie just so they can feel better in their little bubble where everything Gaga makes is a hit.

It's got Super Bowl performance and still didn't chart as good as generic songs like Closer. There, made my point, again.

And yes, sales do equal success. Reviews are just the opinions of critics, which we may or may not agree with. How many critically acclaimed albums do you like? how many critical panned works do you also like? see? no relation. But as for sales, sales reflect what the majority are paying their hard-earned money for. Another point made.

And the generalizations are coming from the threads here and from the sales compared to her past successes. So now use that gif on yourself.
