pdaines 209
Debut week sales are looking like maybe 50K-80K. It should be IN the top 5 on sales, but sales overall are becoming a smaller piece of the Hot 100 pie. Streaming -- which is increasingly the big slice of the pie -- will be abysmal, or at least certainly not competitive at first. And, we still don't know whether there is a promo machine in the works. Properly promoted to radio, the song should still manage to debut in the top 20. If it takes off at radio, it could easy be a top 10 hit at radio & push into the top ten on the Hot 100, but I still think we are looking at 6-8 + weeks for the peak. In terms of possible early good signs -- Look for it to still be clinging to its #1 slot on iTunes by tomorrow morning & to start hearing rumors of radio adds. The early radio adds are key -- if it grows to critical mass on radio, then it can earn callout scores which tell radio programmers exactly how much audiences like the song relative to other pop songs while they still have the opportunity to make decisions. Early radio adds mean that it will be given a legitimate chance.
joannesrats 26
I think that it'll debut at around #15 on Billboard, but it will go up after the radio starts spinning it. It's a radio song, for sure

Trepadation 5,566
The goths who listen to the cure (band) will see the song thinking it's related to them. Excellent strategy, convert the goths Gaga

I'd still be surprised if it debuted higher than around #17 on the Hot 100, though, considering its abysmal Spotify streaming numbers. Also, I still haven't seen any radio numbers, although it has a rumored radio add date of 4/24.

It's already sold 17K-20K copies & still sitting pretty at #1 on US iTunes. It WILL debut somewhere in the top half of the Hot 100.
