"I love Gaga but.."

That saying really needs to stop. I'm always seeing negative things about Gaga that start with that sentence and they act as if it balances out the negativity. If you love her, why carry on the negativity as to why you're disappointed and why take the time to complain?

Like I get it, people have opinions, but that sentence just seems so prentious.

on another note, 'The Cure' is beautiful and has a really powerful message.

Also I hate it when they use very harsh words to describing the music it's very mean to her work, like don't y'all see how happy she was when she performed it!

Don't go for second best, baby Put your love to the test

Are we not allowed to be honest on this forum? I genuinely do love Gaga but in my opinion the song is generic trash. Stop the groupthink and let others express their own opinions.

It's because crazy GGD members attack other people because of every opinion than their own. So they feel safer.

Like i said, "I get it, people have opinions"

i believe that sentence seems so pretentious to say when you talk about a song she felt good about, such as calling it trash. It makes it seem as though you're scared you will hurt her feelings by what you're saying, so you say "I love Gaga but.." like it will make it any better.

We all love Gaga. Are you trying to create drama? Gurl bye

No hunny, saw gaga's page on Facebook promote the song and somebody commented exactly this, "I love Gaga but it seems she's just really desperate for a hit right now and that's why she's putting out a very safe and kinda generic song. This sounds like all the top 40 hits right now. Gaga you can do better, you have it in you!"

No I don't say it for that reason, I say it because I don't want one opinion on one song to make it seem like I'm not a fan of her. I love her, I've been a fan for 9 years, as someone who studies composition I would hope that people would be equally honest with my work. Maybe the word trash is a little harsh, I don't think I've ever used that to describe anything she has ever done, but I've spent the past few years in firm opposition to the house/edm wave that has dominated the charts. I'm sick of it - Sia disappointed me with her latest album which was completely basic and a far cry from her previous work, the Chainsmokers made my ears burn every time i walked past a radio... just as I thought it was starting to die down, bam one of my favourite artists comes out with a song that exudes everything i hate about current pop music. I hope this gives you a little insight as to why I (and probably so many others) have had such a strong reaction to this song.

I think it's an absolutely beautiful song. My best friend Mandy said its like "I wanna be with you 2.0" because we mean the world to gaga and we're always her cure when she's upset. However, I personally couldn't see "I wanna be with you" in the cure.

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
